Decent and Cheap
I live in a small, studio apartment in Hyde Park. The apartment is small, has little sunlight, and has wood paneled walls. So it is often dark.
Maintenance is responsive. There are a wide range of people who live there -- from grad students to drop outs to hyde park weirdos. It's super close to the 1 and 801, but a bit of pain to bus to school. You can walk down to the 656 though.
