Good value; high budget
Beekman is a good apartment to live in with great amenities (gym, pool, media room) and an attentive leasing office/maintenance crew issues that come up. It is very expensive compared to other properties in the area as rent does not include utilities, parking, and high-speed internet. It is nicely located to the hospital and close enough to downtown to walk (~20 minutes).

Beekman 3 bed/2 bath
Beekman is an overall great place to live. It's in white coat area and close to most other peers while also having two gyms and lots of areas to study. I always feel safe in the building and the building is overall clean with even great maintenance workers who are always kind and will stop by for any assistance we might need.

Beekman Review
Beekman is a great place to live if you want to build community within your class! lots of classmates and residents live there, and there are constantly social events and lots of available study spaces to work / hang with friends

Newer apartments
Close proximity to campus, many classmates live here and many activities happen here in the community room.

Very nice amenities but comes with a cost
Love living in Beekman but it is very expensive for Ann Arbor. The rent price is high and it does not include any utilities or parking - those are all additional fees. Additionally, my bedroom is very small and has no windows. Having a gym and being so close to school is definitely a plus!

Beekman
There are nice amenities (gym, pool, barbecues, small area to buy snacks). It’s an okay commute to the law school by bus (I normally leave about 30 minutes before I need to be in class). It’s a quiet area but there are some local restaurants and a small market. Maintenance is responsive and there are people in the leasing office during business hours so you can pop over if you need anything urgently. It’s pretty expensive for the area though and they are looking to build another building soon so construction noise may be a future concern. They accept pets with a small fee ($30/month) and a slightly more expensive deposit.

Wheelchair accessible but expensive
Nice unit, if small for the price. Location is great for bus stops and proximity to the hospital. Walking distance to downtown. The amenities are very nice, and this is one of the few buildings that are wheelchair accessible in this neighborhood. Too expensive though.

Beekman on Broadway Review
It's great!

Beekman review
The apartment is clean and well maintained, management is responsive to any issues raised, and the facilities are all in working order. The apartment is very standard for a new/luxury apartment complex, and while things break occasionally (the front door key reader, gym equipment, etc.) they are generally fixed promptly. The management staff is very nice and happy to help with any things you might need! The primary issues with it are the distance from the south end of campus, and the bus routes only generally go to the north end of campus. This would be a great location for med students, dental, pharmacy, or other health-related graduate students but it is a bad location for law and business students.

Great living space
Great living space for 3 roommates. In terms of pricing if you're living in a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment it gets pricey for what you get. I like the gym, it is very convenient as well as the package room and maintenance in the building. The indoor parking is nice, but comes at a steep price of $185 per month. The building seems to increase the rent exponentially every year and also increase the price of utilities. I don't know that I would live here if I was living in anything less than a 3 bedroom because I'm not sure it would be worth the price. The walls are thin so I can hear things in my roommate's room and above or below me. The management doesn't really do anything about noise complaints unfortunately. At times they have also seemed to take advantage of the tenants. For example, they threatened to list our apartment if we didn't tell them if we wanted to renew our lease by a certain day, while violating the 150 day rule in Ann Arbor. Once we asked about it, they corrected themselves, but it was strange that they did that. Additionally, they tried to list a unit as a 2 bedroom apartment, but only one of the rooms had a window, which means the other room is NOT a bedroom. Once confronted about this, they reduced the price of the unit. Additionally, when signing renewals, they increase the utilities in a way that is not transparent-- they do it without letting us know upfront and we read about it in the renewal agreement. It seems like management would take advantage of some folks who may not know some of these rules.
Other than that a great building and everyone has been super helpful! Management is something to be wary of, but other than that I have really enjoyed living here and it has made things very convenient. I would just like to add that the other folks who work in the leasing office are absolutely fantastic, it just seems like a top management issue. Very safe building since you need a fob to enter the building.
