Stunningly average apartment choice
The apartment buildings themselves are very old and worn. The cabinets are falling off their hinges, the fuse box was painted over, there is a permanent heavy food/BO smell in the stairways, and many parts of the appliances didn’t work upon move in. The leasing staff are nice, but rarely organized or productive; they don’t always answer the phone during open hours. We did not get to view the apartment before moving in and they offered a move-in checklist weeks after already moving in (the way you keep your security deposit). The way I compromise with this is that the environment feels safe, has green spaces, and is the perfect location for grad life (imo) with distance from the undergrads and bus stops out front.

It is an okay place to live
Picked it because it's close to work but it is absolutely overpriced for what it has to offer.

Best for our 1st year needs
Very close to campus, good price, and recently renovated. The buildings look old and the gym is very small, but it is great for what it is. We also have nearby bus stops.

Med center court review
Good place to live close to the hospital. Not updated/renovated but most units include a dishwasher. Responsive management when problems arise. Parking is convenient and included. Decent price for the area but still high for Ann arbor. Quiet and peaceful.

Good price, not the most updated
While med center court is not the most updated, the apartments are large, rent is reasonable, and has free parking + gym.

Med center court apts review
Medical center court is a great option for med students who want to live within walking distance of the hospital and downtown Ann Arbor. While the apartments are generally older and have not been renovated in a while, they are more fairly priced compared to many other properties in the surrounding white coat area/Kerrytown. Mckinley staff are very receptive to maintenance requests and residents' concerns and the property is safe and quiet. It is also convenient that parking is included in the rent. If you live in a two-bedroom with a roommate, you each get a parking spot.

Solid spot
Recommend medical center court or any of the surrounding spots (riverside apartments, neilsen court, etc.) for people from out of town who don't know ann arbor. You can definitely find better places in kerrytown but it's a bit trickier.

Overpriced, low quality
I would advise living somewhere else. The plus side is that it is close to the medical campus. The overall quality of the walls, carpet, linoleum, appliances, is very low grade. only 2 burners work on the stove, I’ve had to get the sink fixed multiple times, and the refrigerator randomly leaked water all over the floor. The carpet looks grungy even after vacuuming. I’ve had my AC set at 62 in the summer, constantly running, and it still never got below 72.
Over the past year, packages have been repeatedly stolen and sketchy people have been reported loitering in the foyers. The laundry is also overpriced (3.50 per load).
When I signed the lease, Zontise mentioned being willing to accept late rent because my benefits come in a little later. Instead I’ve gotten late fees from the corporate office. She seldom goes to bat for residents.
At this price point and location, I would advise trying to find a beekman apartment if you can afford it. I also think Nielsen condos is a much better alternative. Island drive is similarly overpriced.
I’ve asked to move out and sublet the remainder of my lease but apparently I can’t do that either, so I’m stuck here till the summer. All in all I’d recommend living somewhere else.

Great location, but its an expensive and old apartment
The location is great and is only a 10 minute walk from the medical school. However, the apartment is old and has problems with flooding, mold, and an old heating system. You also have to pay for all the utilities on top of rent. There are likely better value apartments in the same area.

Good for medical students
One of the few properties that allows pets, many medical students live here due to the close proximity to the hospital and medical school with multiple bus lines nearby as well. Slightly overpriced, but most apartments in Ann Arbor are. Management is reliably responsive to concerns.
