Oaks Apartmets

The best thing about this apartment is that the rent includes all utilities (electricity, water, internet) so you won’t have to set up your own account at evergy or the water company and pay so many bills. It also close to everywhere (CVS, Dillons, etc) and near a bus stop.

It was nice to have all utilities included in the cost of rent, but I was very disappointed with the maintenance and upkeep of my apartment. In the year lease I had there, there were over 6 instances of water leakage that had to be addressed, and often took a few days to get someone in to make fixes. The first day I moved in there were plumbing issues relating to drainage of the sinks and tub, and that issue occurred a few times during my lease too. I also had a mouse problem (even tho I was on the 2nd floor) and it took over a week for them to send someone to address the issue. The maintenance of the building washers/dryers was not very impressive either, I often had to air dry my clothes because the dryers didn't dry my clothes enough, and a lot of my times my laundry didn't seem clean when I pulled it from the wash. I had a package stolen because there was no building security, anyone had access.

I think all utilities included in the rate is very helpful for international student since we don’t have to register for electricity and gas to the providing company ourselves.

I've loved living in a Cherry Hill property. The staff has been great at handling any small issues that have come up and they often drop off treats for holidays as a sweet touch. I have two large dogs and they were very easy to work with and have predominantly non-carpeted floors which makes fur-upkeep much easier. I also have a small second-bedroom that I use for extra storage and a study space. The exterior of the buildings look a bit old but the interiors have fairly recent updates!
