Great Philly Living

My girlfriend and I have been living at Goldtex for over a year now. It's been great. The Rail Park opened up right next door, Elixr coffee shop opened up and a new restaurant is opening up in the lobby. My biggest concern moving in was the neighborhood so it is a nice sign seeing all the retail. The apartments themselves are incredible and uber-modern plus having front desk concierge is a nice added bonus. Goldtex has one of the best rooftop views/deck in the city.

Love Goldtex!

I moved to Philly from New York this past summer and been living at Goldtex for almost a year now and I love it!!! The apartments are brand-new and have all modern features. The bathroom is incredible with a full spa shower.

I didn't know anyone in Philly before making the move and met some great friends while living here. The rooftop is amazing and can't wait to lay by the pool soon!

SMALL, NICE AMENITIES

The apartments are small, in fact some units smaller than advertised. Very nice unit features including huge windows. Great amenties and a very well maintained building. The maintenance and concierge employees are super nice. Management can be difficult to get responses from.

Brand new apartments in Chinatown area

Overall, Goldtex apartments have been an okay place to live. The units are beautiful and the amenities are pretty good, but management could be better. Additionally, the surrounding neighborhood is up and coming but still has a ways to go.

Great apartment

Goldtex is a brand new modern apartment with state of the art appliances. It's located very close to Drexel's Center City Shuttle and the building also has a gym, pool, and a rooftop deck.

My experience with the neighborhood has been very good. I have not had any trouble walking around late at night. There are a couple of excellent brunch places nearby right on Callowhill Street. Also, right across the street at the Hannover there is a nice grocery store.
You are about a ten minute walk from Chestnut Street, were you can find a shopping mall and ample stores for your convenience.
Neighborhood is great. There are some homeless people around, but I have never been harassed or bothered by them. You are a few blocks north of City Hall and the Center City bar/restaurant/shopping scene.
A lot of small cafes and shops around. Reading Terminal and Rail Park is a great boost to the neighborhood. Hope to see bigger retails stores like Target or grocery store opening up soon.
Great to run down Callowhill road for restaurants. Also the new rail park opened up right behind the building.
We are located in the center of 4 homeless centers, next to the highway, and a very busy intersection in which I see at least 2-4 accidents a month. You get all the cons of city living without any benefits of being close-by to any restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
Walking outside guarantees encountering one or all of the following
-Used needles
-Human excrement
-The odor of urine
-Beggars
-Open air drug usage

The district is overrun with vagrants and the dangerously mentally ill. Police presence is minimal and they are incredibly ineffectual and, frankly, slothful and are not to be relied on for security.
I do wish we were closer to more restaurants, bars, food places but it’s really not a far wall or subway. Not the safest area but the building is
This is a great location, within walking distance of great restaurants and Cafe's in Rittenhouse etc.

Some are put off by the homeless population but this is the city, it is what it isb
