Older but affordable
This is a complex of condos, some owners rent to students. These apartments are not the newest or the nicest, but they're fine. This is a relatively affordable option if you want to live alone.

Villager West Condominiums
I really enjoy being a 10-15 minute walk from the medical school with many restaurants within walking distance on 21st Ave. My particular apartment is not the nicest, but has worked out just fine for the last four years, especially given the price. Many of my classmates live within a 2-3 minute walk.
