6 med students total living in the house 1 mile from campus. Landlord is extremely responsive and former physician at Vanderbilt. Fully furnished aside from your bedroom and rent is cheap. Lots of space in the house and well-known in the med school community. Great location as well and close to gym and grocery stores.

Acklen is a house on campus that has been in the hands of medical students for almost twenty years. Each year, there is an opening in the house for a first year student to join the living space.

Landlord is super friendly and receptive to needs. Very spacious house (4000+ sq ft) located only a mile from campus and close to many other med students. Residential neighborhood that is quiet. 6 male med students live in the house at all times and vary across the different classes. There are 4 fridges, 1 75 in flat screen TV in basement, and house comes fully furnished except for your room.

The Acklen House is a house rented to medical students through the year. The landlord is a physician at Vandy. Great landlord, super receptive to any issues, and rent is cheap. Big house and close to campus. Highly recommend.

The Acklen House is conveniently located close to campus, yet far enough that we’re not by any busy streets. The neighborhood is nice, with friendly neighbors and nearby restaurants. We have enough space in the house where 6 men can all comfortably live together under one roof.

This was a great place to live during medical school! Perfect location within walking distance of the hospital, 21st avenue, and the Vanderbilt rec center. Also very close to a Kroger for groceries. It's a duplex, and rooms are rented out individually. 6 people total (all medical students) live here. Landlord is a physician at Vandy. Rent covers all utilities. Really nice guy and responds to housing issues very quickly. Cleaner that comes every month. Large basement that's great for parties, band practice, movies with the projector ect., large kitchen. Can get kind of messy with 6 roommates and recurring parties.
