Review for the Savoye at Vitruvian Park

The Savoye and Savoye 2 are a couple of the apartment complexes that surround Vitruvian Park, a picturesque little park with a large pond, running trails, trees and beautiful bridges. These apartments are nestled out of the way of the bustling city, but only 10 minutes from Restaurant Row. The park is perfect for dogs and there is even a doggy day-care located in the complex as well. Unfortunately, the other businesses that are supposed to fill up the first floor of the complexes can never seem to stay in business. The restaurants constantly go out of business and the market they have been promising for four years has never appeared. But the units are great and up-to-date. The maintenance is great and prompt. and the amenities are beautiful and great for hosting gatherings. They just installed a new set of grills too. This is a great place for singles and couples. Would not recommend for families due to noise. It can get a little loud at night, especially on the summer weekends.

Review of the Savoye in Addison

The Savoye promises a lot but delivers on almost nothing. They show off all these great amenities, but fail to mention none of them are allowed to function due to city ordinance. And the ones that do work, break often. There is an elevator that has been broken for 2 years now and never been fixed. The magnetic locks and gate are also broken meaning there is no security. There was a shooting in the complex next door that is owned by the same company. Management promised a bustling shopping/food/bar scene in the retail space below the apartments, but most places have gone out of business. There isn't actually any new businesses going in. Such as the grocery store that they said would move in back in 2016 and still isn't open. The space is incredibly small for what you pay, considering none of the amenities work. Maintenance is good. They fix whatever breaks rather promptly. The view out onto Viturvian Park is amazing. It's a great place to go run/walk. There are sand volleyball courts and Brookhaven college is walking distance. During the Summer and Winter there are constantly events down at the park with music and food trucks. They are lots of fun however you can here everything going on at the park while in the apartment. Management does put on brunches for the residents. I haven't been, but it's free food!
