Worth it
A fellow student and I live together. We each have our own private bedroom and bathroom. I’ve made a pro-con list for y’all to consider
Pros:
- management is very responsive and helpful
- trash service five nights a week
- 4 minutes from school
- 8 minutes from Target, West 7th St, etc.
- free parking in a covered garage (although I chose to pay $35/month for a reserved spot because I wanted to guarantee I’d never have to use the stairs). Also your guests can park on the top floor, so that’s nice
- small gym and pool
- the building is pretty insulated and temperature controlled, so you never have to crank the heat or AC in your apartment
- everything can be accessed with a code, so you don’t have to carry keys
- pest control sprays the exterior of the building every week. We had a couple small bugs when we first moved in, so they also came and sprayed inside the apartment for free as well
- the apartment comes with a dishwasher and washer and dryer
Cons:
- this is not the best place to live if you want to go for walks. It’s not unsafe, but it’s not a suburban community either. Plus there’s not really much to walk to anyway
- your bedroom window may face other apartments or the parking structure and it’s not completely soundproof. This normally is not a big deal but occasionally I’ll hear neighbors fighting or dogs barking
- the bedrooms have carpet and people who had pets before you might have left presents in the form of animal fur. When I first moved in my closet smelled so much like cat that I had to detox the carpet with baking soda for a few hours. Otherwise you will occasionally get a wet dog smell in the hallways, though never in the apartment itself
- at night you might hear faint sounds of trains or ambulances
TLDR: I think it’s worth it to live here as a 1L because it’s overall pretty nice, management is helpful, and the drive to school is super fast

It’s good.
Involved management, good location, fast internet. That’s all I ask for.

Cozy, convenient, and accessible!
This apartment is great if you're looking to live near school. It's only a 5 minute drive! The management is great and responsive, we had our fridge break down and they fixed it within the hour. The neighbors are mainly nursing students and doctors so it is very quiet and secure. The apartment is about 10 minutes away from Walmart Neighborhood Market, or SuperTarget. It is pricey for the amount of space you're paying for, but I think it is worth it considering all of the amenities that are offered.

Great Staff, Pet Friendly
All the staff are wonderful. Maintenance is always prompt and are very knowledgable. This is also a good place for dogs. While they don’t have a dog park, there are plenty of fields in the surrounding blocks in which to exercise my energetic golden retriever! Finally, it is close to a hospital, and we never lost electricity during the big winter storm.

Everything you need
Great for proximity to law school, downtown, and West 7th. Has good amenities, decent price for area, and safe neighborhood.

Excellent
Overall a great experience. Close to school, the management team is always available and maintenance doesn’t take longer than 24 hours to get back to you and repair your problems. The complex is very quiet with little study distractions.

Great apartment in a decent location
Overall, I have enjoyed living here. The apartment is great for the price and is located only 5-10 mins from anything downtown. The staff is very nice and considerate. Maintenance is easy and every order we have submitted was fixed that day or the next morning. The complex is generally quiet, while the pool side can be loader during the summer months due to kids playing. In terms of outside complex noise, there is some noise from the surrounding hospitals. However, this is generally quite infrequent and is made up due to the lower rent cost. Also, the aparments are updated, newer appliances and utility controls.

Close to school, quiet community
I’ve rented apartments for the last five years and this is by far the best apartment complex I’ve ever rented at. The office staff is really helpful and go out of their way to work with you if/when issues arise. I’ve never waited more than 6 hours for a maintenance issue to be addressed. There are also community events, which is nice to meet people outside of school. The actual apartments themselves are very nice, they’re good if you want to live alone or with someone. The community is pretty quiet, it’s mostly young professionals and there’s not a lot of kids running around. Overall, would highly recommend this complex.

The Phoenix
I love living here at The Phoenix. It’s so close to school, reasonably priced, and has great amenities. Awesome gym with a squat rack, cardio machines, free weights. and other weight machines. great pool. Great neighbors. Pretty amazing staff at the front desk too, they offer to take out my dog if I’m not home, which is so sweet. Maintenance works really quickly here too. Love it. One downside is there is no puppy park to take out pets within the complex or gated, so walking at night isn’t always ideal
