ECGA Review

Convenient location as it is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the law school. Gym is nice and all utilities are included. Downside is limited street parking so must pay for the east campus garage which is about a 5 minute walk away if you want parking.

ECGA Apartments

The main benefits for a law student are that it is within walking distance to the law school (~15 minutes) and it is quite cheap. The gym is a nice perk and is sufficient for a decent workout. Despite the thin walls, the complex is still relatively quiet. The main downside is that maintenance can take a while to deal with your issues.

Convenient

Generally, maintenance is fairly quick. It is somewhat unclear what constitutes emergency maintenance or not. Mail pick-up policies are clear but there needs to be someone at the desk for pick-up. The buildings are secure, with the lobby being separate from the apartment buildings, which need a fob to enter. The apartments are not very spacious but the kitchen is a good size and has lots of storage. Electricity, water, and trash are included in the cost, which is a big plus. The gym has the essential machines and is convenient to access. The random-roommate selection is not ideal, it would be better if we could conveniently choose a roommate online or elect for a random roommate

East Campus Graduate Apartments

The apartments are very convenient for a graduate/professional student at UT Austin. Rent is all inclusive, simple to pay, and the University as a landlord makes maintenance easily accessible. There is plenty of free street parking if you have a vehicle, but there is also a parking garage nearby with a yearly parking pass that costs about $250-$300 (you do not get kicked out for events like sporting events or concerts so parking is always guaranteed and worth the cost). A potential con about the space would be that mail can be a little slow coming in as well as package pickup since the student staff have to individually log and store everything in and there are a lot of apartments in the complex.

Parking & Ventilation

Everything is pretty good. The biggest quarrel is the garage (costs ≈$450) which is approximately a 5 minute walk from the complex (more if you are at the far end). Furthermore, there is poor ventilation in the apartments, and the complex has removed the handle to open the window.

ECG one bed, one bath

Great place to start, if you don't know the town well enough.

Good for convenience, but not the most luxurious.

Super convenient location to campus (LBJ school, football stadium, and moody center are all walkable). Parking is a little far away but very inexpensive for the year. Maintenance is very responsive, but the front desk is not always available/some issues with getting packages. Rooms/bathrooms/closets are spacious but the common area is pretty small/difficult for hosting. Amenities are ok, would have liked a pool.

ECGA

ECGA Is very convenient for LBJ students. The LBJ school is about a 10 minute walk from the apartments. Apartments have study rooms, common areas, and a gym.
