Amazing apartment for price

A lot of significantly worse apartments exist in center city for 1600-1800. For 2000, my space is 1100 square feet with a loft and great space. Slightly more expensive, yes.

Lots of Space & Great View

Overall, we have had a positive experience with the apartment. We appreciate the location and amount of space within the apartment itself. The loft style of apartments does make coordinating working nights with a spouse a bit more difficult, but it is worth it for the space, location, and view. The apartment is very quiet. The apartment has parking for an additional cost, and a gym which we haven't used yet (due to COVID). The biggest downfall is that maintenance is INCREDIBLY slow (2+ weeks for a basic repair and months long waits for less "standard" repairs).

Everything is great, except maintenance

The large windows of the loft brings in a lot of light (potentially too much). The square footage of the studio is also huge. With that being said, the layout might not be the most efficient. My favorite part of the room is the ceiling fan. Natural flowing air is a game changer. My only complaint is that maintenance can take a while (a week or two), but it does get done.

Great location, decent value

Pre-COVID, I was very happy to be closer to campus than Rittenhouse square, now with everything online it doesn't matter much. I live on a lower floor and have no complaints. Management and maintenance has been responsive when I've needed them. The front desk folks are very helpful and nice. My unit faces north which I think is great w/r/t light but I've heard other residents complain about too much or little sun (and resultant heat). Loft layout is neat, love the high ceiling and windows, tons of closet space. Gym kinda sucks unless all you want is cardio but Sweat fitness is one block over and has a good discount for Riverloft residents. Nice to be close to 30th st station.

Oh also I like the neighborhood around Riverloft, it feels much cleaner and safer than around Rittenhouse Square. I am comfortable walking my dog around the cute little residential streets nearby. Also the Schuylkill River trail and dog parks are really close, I've spent a lot of time at those and probably wouldn't if I lived farther. Good grocery options north (short walk to Trader Joe's, short drive to Whole Foods) and south (nice not-too-far walk to South Square Market or Heirloom), with Four Seasons Market a couple blocks over for beer and some grocery items in a pinch.

Great for MBAs with partners

Great location right on the riverfront & close to the highway with parking in the building. The units themselves have spacious layouts, nice kitchen and W/D appliances, lots of natural light, and good closet space. The one downside of a loft is the lack of sound isolation (for example, if you and a partner are both on Zoom calls), so invest in some noise-cancelling headphones. Maintenance happens when needed, but management is not always the most responsive.

Comfortable Home for an MBA

Not without the occasional inconveniences (e.g. fire alarm) or extra expense (e.g. mail lockers), but it's a nice building, easy living.

The location is unbeatable with close proximity to more action in Rittenhouse, the Schuylkill for running, and a short commute to school/the hospital. Trader Joe's is ~10 minute walk from my house, but there are also a few other smaller grocery stores nearby. It's a very family friendly area with folks of all different ages and tons of dogs.
Love the neighborhood! If you're interested in being close to the center of the city and being able to actively explore Philly (for a not extreme price) it was great! Also was easy to get to my school - University of Pennsylvania. 15-20 mins to get to school by transit; 30 mins walking.

That being said I did notice that most students lived on the side of the school!
The beautiful tree-filled neighborhood is full of families, dogs, and students - it is safe, full of great restaurants, and boasts an equally quick walk to both University City and downtown attractions. The immediate access to the Schuylkill River Trail also can't be beat. While we lack apartment amenities, we love living in a historical brownstone that has charm and character. This is an area where you can live as a student and stay for another 20 years after that.
Great neighborhood, though expensive for Philly. If you're a Penn grad student who wants to be near campus but not on campus, it's ideal for distance from school and the Rittenhouse area. Lots of parks and residents are friendly.
There are residents without housing in the neighborhood. They're good people and new residents should be respectful of them and their belongings.
The neighborhood is very residential. Not a ton of bars/restaurants which can be annoying if you just want to pick up food after a busy day, but it's right near the park and Skukyhill river trail which is great for exercising and getting outdoors. Close to Trader Joe's and South Street market which is convenient
Center City is a fantastic area. I live on the northern side of it, which is the more financial/industrial/apartment building side. I live 2 blocks from a busy Trader Joe's and inches away from tons of great restaurants, corner stores, and shops. It's close to Rittenhouse Square, a swanky square block with a tiny park in the middle, as well as the Schuylkill River trail (great for running and biking) and the Art Museum area. Multiple major bus lines slice through this neighborhood, making it quite easy to get anywhere when you don't want to walk or bike.
This spot is perfect -- closer to campus, near the train station, huge spaces, kind and helpful staff, cool-looking building, new gym, beautiful park nearby, and overall easy and awesome loft-style living experience. I think people will pressure to have to live on Rittenhouse because that's what everyone immediately says to do, but in reality you can live near Rittenhouse (Locust on the Park is just a 5 minute walk to the square) and not miss out on anything. Fitler Square is beautiful, quiet, and still a perfect location.
Pros: close to school as well as all the fun stuff downtown (Schuylkill River Trail, restaurants, bars, museums, theaters, shopping, you name it!); very safe even walking alone late at night; lots of other students here
Cons: Trader Joe's is the only real grocery store here and may have limited selection for those looking for a supermarket; not as quiet or "neighborhood-y" as other areas, as it is in the heart of downtown; there is a freight train that runs along the river that can be loud, though I got used to it quickly
