Great place to live
1500 Locust is a very well run apartment building with excellent amenities. The apartments are quiet and spacious with modern appliances. The only thing lacking is style -- they are in the process of renovating the apartments, but some are still carpeted with popcorn ceilings.

Solid Apartment Building
1500 Locust is a solid apartment building with recently renovated units. The building provides numerous amenities (gym, pool, roof deck, doorman, lounge) which only cost a small (<$100) one time fee. Location can’t get much better either.

Great value for money
Larger apartments than other buildings, great and quick maintenance team, beautiful gym, free workout classes, indoor pool.

Great location/ building has improvements
Great location, elevator is terrible and suddenly stops. Or sometimes they do not work creating long elevator times. They closed the roof to make improvements during summer months. Which people were very upset. Office Manager is not very helpful. Rent increases every year.

Nice apt
Good: The apartment is nice and spacious. Close to bars/clubs and restaurant.
Bad: further from campus, very few Wharton students, elevators are extremely slow

Fine for a few years
Great location and amenities. The unit appliances / finishes are ALL as cheap as money can buy with sloppy installation.

Solid Apartment Building
1500 Locust is a solid rental apartment building for students. Most of the apartments are recently renovated and have access to numerous amenities (e.g., gym, pool, rec room, front desk services), all for a reasonable rent (utilities are not expensive either). Frequent renovation work can be an inconvenience, but it beats living in a run down apartment building.

Spacious, comfortable apartments. Great value.
1500 Locust is a great value. While the style is slightly outdated, the amenities and management are excellent. The walk to school is a few minutes longer than other properties, but you are also closer to restaurants and bars in downtown Philly.

Living at 1500 Locust
Once you put pressure on management, you can get your way. Otherwise the building is particularly old, with very poor appliances and not the friendliest of staff. Hence, the experience/price ratio is quite low.

Great place, large apartments, reasonable price compared to alternatives
The apartments are very spacious and the building has great facilities like a nice rooftop gym, indoor pool and lounge area. The building maintenance is very responsive - take care of every matter usually within 24-48 hours (including changing appliances like a washing machine or dish washer). For Wharton students, it's an extra couple of blocks walk but totally worth it if you want to live alone at a reasonable price.

Rittenhouse Square Reviews
Spruce Street in particular is great - it's a little south of the square, so is quieter/shielded from a lot of the traffic that the neighborhood gets, but it's not out of the way or far away. There's a Starbucks, a grocery store (Rittenhouse Market), and a few corner stores (Four Seasons and Food & Friends) within a 2-3 minute walk of my apartment.
