Spacious but not worth it!

Big complex in Battery Park that almost lives as its own ecosystem. The main downside is the cold air. Windows are not very well reinforced and the apartments are FREEZING in the winter. Heaters have been updated but still not good enough. Management is probably stuck since it's expensive to replace all.

Some doormen are hit or miss in terms of their attitude.

Overall, a quiet building and has amenities if you want to shell out extra money for them (gym, pool, etc.).

During the holidays they go all out with lights, if that factors into your decision.

It's certainly not a bad building given the price point compared to others in the richer neighborhood but I'd look elsewhere.

Good Experience

Our experience so far has been good since we are a couple but when we plan a family we would need a bigger space. It location is great and it feels very safe living here. Would have liked to have a bigger kitchen and an updated one, the size of the apartment is good for a studio.

Battery Park City Reviews

3 reviews
Battery Park City is an amazing place for families, pet owners, and people who love being able to go for a run in NYC. It feels incredibly safe at pretty much all times. That said, the social scene is somewhat lacking as the area generally dies down at night and it's very hard to convince people to go out in Battery Park City relative to other neighborhoods.
Lots of open space and beautiful runs/walks along the water. Good restaurants, shopping, and a movie theatre, but not a huge bar / social scene.
Only downside I can say is there aren't as many restaurants and bars as busier parts of the city, but depending on the night that can be a nice thing.
