High Quality Apartment

High quality apartment in a very desirable location. Best parts are the amenities such as the gym, bicycle parking, and gorgeous club-room and rooftop party area. Also enjoy the free coffee in the shared work lounge and the staff that work the concierge desk.

Great Apartment

I love living at Griffin Center City. The management is very responsive to all requests. The units are all brand new with beautiful finishes and even though they are on the smaller side in square footage, they are smartly laid out to feel much larger. The amenities include an awesome rooftop deck with a great view, grills, fire pit and extremely well-equipped gym. The location is awesome, conveniently located to great restaurants and bars. I would definitely recommend living here!

Griffin Apartment

Overpriced ghost town. Seems like most of the units are still vacant, and that people are moving out soon after move in. Apartments are small and nothing special, yet the rent prices are very high. Amenities are great, but in reality, no one uses them enough to make it worth the price.

Great place to live

I love living here. The management is great and very responsive. The tenants are all relatively young and mostly either students or working professionals. It is a very safe environment which is a huge plus. If I had to choose again I would rent again from here

New, Central, Upscale Apartment

Griffin is a one-year old apartment in a very old building. While it maintains some of its historic properties on the outside and the beautiful original railing inside, the apartment is completely renovated into a modern look and layout. It has great appliances along with high ceilings and large windows. Layouts are somewhat challenging, you definitely have to pay up to get the most roomy/easy layout to work with.
But the buildings central location, safety and amazing amenities won me over. If you are someone who would take advantage of these features: pretty well upgraded gym with a rowing machine and separate yoga/stretch/barre room. Rooftop offers amazing views of Broad Street and City Hall, which is a fun place for grilling, watching TV (indoors or outdoors), they have a ton of games. The building also hosts a decent number of social events which has allowed me to get to know some of my neighbors pretty well and even actually make some friends.

Best leasing team

The griffin has a great location. There is a Walgreen store in front of the building. Target store has just 5 minutes walk from the building. It's next to the city hall. Septa is very close, only 2 minutes walk. The concierges are so friendly and helpful. The leasing office team are great. Safety and amenities are perfect.

Great amenities in a modern building

I love the Griffin! It is brand new, beautiful, and modern. The amenities are great, including a gym, yoga room, rooftop, club room that has games, and free coffee and a business center. When something is not working, management responds right away. The maintenance staff is great as well. Best decision I have made in a while!

Incredible building

The Griffin Center City apts are an absolutely amazing place to live and in quite possibly the best location in the city. So close to so many great bars and restaurants, as well as being very convenient to the train station. Being on broad street, you can literally walk everywhere

Midtown Village Reviews

Access to restaurants, attractions, and shops in Center City and even nearby in South Philly or Rittenhouse Square is superb. There is generally a lot of street traffic and drug addiction and homelessness are common in the area, but typically not a source of harm for passersby and also not much different than in any other major urban center in the U.S.
Best neighborhood in Center City - can't beat the price for what you get. Amazing location, just a short walk to Rittenhouse or Old City. Can't beat living in the heart of Center City, and only a 7 minute walk to the hospital. Plenty of night life.
Some crime in the area, but overall, great bar and restaurant scene with easy access to public transit.
Center city is arguably safe but sometimes there are some issues. Police are responsive.
Midtown Village is quickly becoming one of the best places in Philly to live. The quick downside is there's a lot of construction in the area, but that's also the positive if you're okay with the feel of a city that's constantly changing. The area already has lots of great bars and restaurants, and all the new construction is adding in great new options for grocery, coffee, and convenience items. There's now a Target, Mom's Grocery, multiple Wawas, Sweetgreen, etc. all in close proximity to mainstays like Reading Terminal.
Midtown Village is a fast-growing and both has great mainstay restaurants like El Vez and Barbuzzo as well as amazing chains like Chipotle and Sweet Green. The addition of a Target, Wawa, CVS, Starbucks, and Petco makes it even more accessible and naturally the location is as central as you can be in Philadelphia. In comparing options, you usually can get a bit of a discount versus Rittenhouse Square and Old City, mainly because the Midtown Village brand is still being built up, but you really can't beat the location and access to amenities. The only thing it's missing is a full-service grocery store, but between Reading Terminal Market, Target, Walgreens, and CVS you're pretty set. The main downside can be the noise and litter that comes with being in the heart of downtown, but it's a trade off I'm more than willing to make and has been getting better with time.
I love this neighborhood! It's very lively and great for young adults. There are a lot of cool restaurants/bars around. It's a little pricey but what can you expect from being in the center of a city like Philadelphia?
The area is filled with lots of young people. I don't feel unsafe walking around even at night because there are people out all the time. There are a couple of narrow streets I probably wouldn't walk through though.
The neighborhood is amazing and getting better every day! It combines access to great daily conveniences (coffee shops, Target, Wawa, etc.) with some of the best independent restaurants and bars in Philly. The location is incredibly central overall and transit options can get you pretty much anywhere in the city. It can get a bit noisy, though that's the price you pay for being downtown.
