5 min walk to Ross

This apartment is close to Ross, comes furnished, and is in a fairly quiet neighborhood. Many other MBAs live close by on Hill St or at the Yard or 618. Good choice if you want a one-bedroom but don't care about a lot of the amenities offered by the large complexes. Parking is outdoor but covered.

Cozy but Spacious 1BR

I love my apartment. It is very cozy but also quite spacious for one person. I live on the second floor and it is shockingly quiet. It is about a three minute walk to the law school and five minute walk to the IMSB, which you will value more than you know during Michigan winters. The management is incredibly responsive and will go above and beyond to address any needs. There is (paid) laundry across the hall and covered parking beneath the building. The unit is furnished (with a two-sided reclining couch - oh yeah). I have had very few issues living here. I will say that the entire apartment (including kitchen and bathroom) is carpeted, which is kind of weird, but I've gotten used to it. The one thing I'd complain about is that I think the rent is a bit too steep and the management is not flexible on timing of leases (I'm a summer starter so have a weird schedule). Other than that, it is the perfect little home for one.

507 Hill Street Review

The building isn't brand new, but it is comfortable and the management team is a family, so I feel very comfortable and at home. They've always been very timely with any requests and have been very accommodating. The building is quiet and clean.

Take a tour before signing anything

Grad students only, which is nice. 7 minute walk to Ross, which is really nice.

However, the building has a mildew issue and carpeted bathrooms and kitchens in some units.

Great for an MBA2

Exactly what I needed for my second year. Close to Ross, furniture provided, not much noise around, a parking space under cover, and plenty of space.

So far so good

I've good a experience so far with Gruber Management. There are some things that I don't like, like as old appliance, but overall it's a nice place. Very close to Ross, which is handy during the wintertime.

Great location & Great value

No thrills (except covered parking) but great value. Only rents to graduate students (other Rossers live here). It was built to be a multiunit apartment which means the layout and walls are great. Marching band and train make it louder than expected but are minor inconveniences. Very nice land lord. We are staying for 2 years.

Great location and spacious apartment

I'm a 5 minute walk from Ross and only 2 blocks from the bus. The only drawback on the location is that it's a 10-15 minute walk to downtown bars and restaurants. The apartment is really large, so it's well worth the amount I pay. And I love the amount of closet space I have in my room. My parking spot is included and is covered. Laundry is in the building and is $1 a load.
