Convenient but Overpriced with Unhelpful Management

Pros: It's great for location – 15-20 minute walk to school and easy access to shuttles. Having CVS and a few restaurants right there is very handy, especially if you don't have a car. Great 24-hour gym. Maintenance usually responds quickly (though may take several visits to resolve an issue). Convenient business/club lounges for doing work. They provide printers in a couple of buildings, but you have to provide your own paper and they only print single-sided (and are often out of service). Lots of other law students live here so it's pretty social/makes it easier to study and meet up with friends.

Cons: Management is usually unhelpful and can be downright rude. They will also typically try to charge you for something. Business lounges close at 10pm (annoying if you want to study late). Inconvenient parking policy. Limited selection of restaurants and shops, with more continuing to close (in the last 1.5 years, only 2 places have opened, ~5 spaces have remained empty, and ~6 have closed). Recycling is inconvenient/not easily accessible. Generally weird and unappealing color scheme in the units (lots of beige and khaki). I'm not sure if it's the neighborhood or the complex itself, but we've had several blackouts in the past year for seemingly no reason, and always with no transparency from management. Pet policy is pretty extreme ($500 non-refundable deposit upfront, $15-25 per month, and I think they charge you some cleaning fees upon move-out). There are security guards that walk around but there have been a lot of thefts and other incidents in the garages and in the buildings, and management doesn't notify us about it.

Neutral/general: My unit doesn't get great light but others do (and some get even less). I don't really think it's worth the money (I pay less for a one-bedroom than most here) but it's also probably the best option in the area for convenience and amenities.

On the pricey side, but worth it

If you're willing to pay a little more, Emory Point is a great place to live. It's a mixed-use space, so there's a CVS and plenty of food options in the area. There's also bus lines that run right from Emory Point to the law school or you can walk ~15 minutes to get there (isn't a bad walk at all). Apartments have a nice layout with a ton of space and I've never unsafe in the complex. The only downside is that it does cost more than many other options in the area, but the security and proximate may be enough to warrant it. There's also a ton of law students that live in the complex (4 other on my floor) so it's a good way to form some camaraderie.

Emory Point - Great Apartment Complex

Emory Point is an awesome (albeit expensive) place to live. Less than 1 mi. from Goizueta the walk is easy, or there are 4 shuttles that pickup from E.P. and bring you to campus. The pool and gym at E.P. are easily the best of any of the student apartment complexes, and the lounges are great places to hang out or do work with your groups. The actual apartments are all well furnished with stainless appliances, granite countertops and in general have a clean feel. Also, you have a CVS, 2 bars and many restaurants within the complex.

Downside: the walls are thin and as a result the place sometimes feels noisy.

Great location for med students

The location can't be beat. It's a 10 minute walk in the morning to the medical school and you don't have to fight traffic. The apartments are in great shape with good amenities. My only complaint is that it can get noisy with some undergrads throwing parties but being older I am just over that scene. Management has been responsive to dealing with that to create an environment that is good for everyone.

On-campus apartment

Emory Point is very close to Emory Campus. It is walkable to business school. The property has restaurants, supermarket and drag store. After changing management company a year ago, the management is better than past years.
Some room cannot enjoy sunlight and it’ll be noisy when there are party in common area.

Best apartment complex near campus!

+ Luxurious design (e.g. crown modeling, stone top, barn house door)
+ Great amenities included (e.g. study room, pool, gym)
+ Responsive maintenance team
+ Walking distance to Emory University
+ Good restaurants and shops walking distance (e.g. Marlow's Tavern, Tin Lizzy's, Papi's, Earth Fare)
- Poor and unresponsive service provided by junior employees at leasing office; area of opportunity for property managers

Great location and services

I use an electric bike to go to class every day and it only takes me 5 minutes.

Safe place, great amenities, could improve on hygiene slightly

Druid Hills Reviews

Druid Hills is the home neighborhood of Emory, the CDC, and lots of other areas. It is also close to Midtown, downtown Decatur, Inman Park, etc. so a good time is never far away. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores. The university provides lots of activities. Plenty of parks and walking trails if you know where to look.
Druid hills is historic and full of parks and sidewalks. Super safe and exercise and pet friendly. Best part about where I live is the location
love the neighborhood. amazing parks, families, houses, lovely place to be and walk
Beautiful hilly neighborhood with lots of forested parks and quiet streets for runs and walks. You are a 10-15 min walk to the restaurants at Morningside and to Emory village in the opposite direction. It's not close to the beltline, Piedmont, or many of the restaurants/bars you'll find closer to Midtown, but it's quiet and good for students at Emory.
The Druid hills neighborhood is residential and you'll need a car or rideshare to get to most retail areas. It can be quite if you have good neighbors and is typically a safe neighborhood. Gables Rock Springs has experienced some break-ins over the past 6 months while I've been living there, but I don't know the circumstances and haven't experienced it myself.
Lots of great restaurants, driving is decent around here (for Atlanta anyway). I have 2 Publixes, a Target, and a Walmart within 10 minutes of me. I would highly recommend.
Emory Point is basically on campus so the atmosphere is very similar to other areas of Emory, with more shops and restaurants thrown in.
There are a lot of families who live in this complex. Numerous pet owners too, and a wonderfull green area for everyone to play and have fun in. We are right across the street from the Clairmont Campus.
