Perfect location, Soaring rents

I love the area and living in this building...but the prices are getting so high, most people will be priced out soon enough. There is a rent bubble here for sure. The staff is friendly and the location can't be beat, wish I could stay but I'll probably have to move when my lease is up due to costs.

The location is what makes N Highland Steel good

N. Highland Steel is in the bustling neighborhood of Inman Park. There are walking trails, restaurants, services, and public transit all within walking distance. The surrounding community was amazing making the short falls of the complex bearable.
It was priced about 10% too high given the maintenance, service, and building quality issues (see below).
The quality of service I received from the staff was poor. They would say they would do something (answer your question, fix a maintenance issue) and they would forget to do it. Then they would claim that they had done what they promised. It was very frustrating and you have to be ready to follow-up daily if you need something.
The building design is poor since their is no gutter to catch water. The water literally runs down the wall and windows, getting into the apartment. I had to file an insurance claim because of damages due to rain that entered the apartment.
One time, the maintenance man came into my bedroom while I was sleeping claiming that he was there to change a light bulb in my closet. We had not put in any light bulb change requests. This was completely unacceptable and against our lease.
Then, the water heater of the apartment above us leaked a few gallons of water into our kitchen. We requested for the ceiling where the leak was to be repainted but never completed the work.
Overall, this apartment worked out well for the 18 months we lived there. While the complex provided many frustrations, the location can't be beat.

Highland Steel for the Win

This complex is all about one thing...location!! I am right in the middle of Inman Park right off of Highland. This whole area is growing rapidly with new shops, restaurants and stores almost everyday. Also, the beltline is basically my back yard. As for value, the Inman Park parking and kick-ass gym almost pays for itself. The complex is pretty modern and holds a cool style. I love almost everything about this complex.

Inman Park Reviews

Inman Park is a quiet neighborhood of small homes with a lively row of bars/restaurants on North Highland Ave. The beltline runs right through it. I feel very safe.
I think Inman Park is the single best neighborhood in Atlanta for young professionals. It has a good blend of not feeling too large, plus ample restaurants and fun things to do. It is also filled with tons of other young people who share similar interests. It is also a very safe neighborhood too.
Great area with lots to do (bars, restaurants, music venues) that is all very walk-able from the apartment. There are a good deal of homeless as well but I've never had a problem.
Lots of awesome restaurants and hang out spots. It's a very active area in the weeks.
So many great restaurants and other social perks!
Love all the restaurants, shops, parks, and bars within walking distance
Bar/restaurant scene growing
Quaint with a nice neighborhood of single family homes behind a bustling main street with restaurants and coffee shops. The beltline runs along it so there are ample activities within walking distance.
