It's easy to live for international students

There are a lot of international students of Emory Univ. at Post Briarcliff. So, it is easy to live in and to commute Emory Univ. In summer season, my daughter swam pools everyday.

Nice apartments but isolated location

It's a nice apartment complex that's clean and feels safe most of the time. There have been a couple security issues over the past year, and management was kind enough to send out an email that said, "Post cannot, and does not, guarantee the safety and protection of its residents." That's direct quote.

The gym is also nice, but it has been deteriorating over the last year or so. Post was recently purchased by another firm, and it appears they're not as eager to keep the equipment in good shape. Stuff is starting to break, and it isn't getting repaired.

If you're going to grad school at Emory, give this place a look. A lot of grad students live here. If not, there are much better places in terms of location as well as amenities.

Post Briarcliff - 2/2 Apartment

My rent went up significantly my second year at Post Briarcliff, but I still consider it a reasonable value for how much space I have and the security and amenities provided by the complex.

It is great to live in a complex with several of my classmates and near campus. I also enjoy the on-site gym (although relatively limited) and pools. It's also nice that Whole Foods and some restaurants are in walking distance.

Generally good as a Emory students

The location is excellent as using the shuttle bus. And also the distance is pretty close to commute by car or Uber.

But, the rent does not include washer and dryer, in contrast, most of other apartments are serving.

Equipment and conditions are pretty old.

Close to Emory

Rent went up dramatically each year, but it was a great time for the 3 years I lived there. No complaints.

Getting around North Druid Hills

North Druid Hills Reviews

150 reviews
It's a prime location for getting around the city! I can get to midtown, Decatur, inman park, etc. in about a 20 min drive or less. The drive to school each morning is about 10-15 mins with little to no traffic. The area is safe with tons of restaurants and shopping. The only downside is that it's not close to any prime nightlife scene, but Ubers aren't too expensive. Incredibly safe which is something I was looking for as a woman living alone. There's no perfect place, but for the amount of space I have (850 sq ft), safety, proximity to school, and easy access to other areas in the city, it can't be beat.
North Druid Hills is a lovely neighborhood and one that I am happy to be living in as my first exposure to Atlanta. There are beautiful tree lined streets and its proximity to Emory is a great selling point.
Beautiful houses and trees, calm, quiet community.
It's an open area with trees. Very close to Emory campus as well as the Toco Hills plaza (Kroger, Publix, many restaurants). Further down Clairmont at the intersection with North Decatur road, there's another Publix as well as some other restaurants in the plaza.

Golden Drop Cafe--which has outdoor seating incase the pandemic is still uncontrolled when you read this--is just 3 min. down the road. Mason Mill Park, which has tennis courts, a pavillion, and walking trails, is also very near.
Very convenient location as far being somewhat close to a lot of different areas though it itself isn't where the night life or all the best restaurant areas are. Lots of grocery options very close by, including Whole Foods, Krogers and Publix.
My wife and I love walking through the beautiful homes in the local neighborhood. It is a very safe area even at night.
You can find any type of store or restaurant that you would ever need within a 5-15 minute drive.
My wife and I go on walks around sunset most nights through the neighborhood. Have never felt unsafe. Neighbors are all very friendly along our walks. Lots of beautiful homes to gawk at.
