Good value

North loop is a good area to live in, especially for the price. We’re in a renovated unit and have no major complaints - it’s pretty basic but perfectly comfortable. Management company is average but maintenance requests are handled promptly.

Great location, not great building

The apartment is extremely old but the location is great. Recently, things have changed because there is a new on-site manager. Hopeful they continue to value their tenants and their needs. I would consider living here next year because things have changed slightly but my job prevents me from doing so.

Getting around North Loop

North Loop Reviews

9 reviews
I love this neighborhood! Everything you need from the grocery store to coffee shops and bookstores are all close by.
I love North Loop because it offers the convenience of Hyde Park without the steep price. The neighborhood is family friendly and a nice place to walk around in. You can hop on the bus or drive to campus in just 10 minutes. There are several fantastic restaurants in the area (Foreign & Domestic, Home Slice, Quality Seafood, Sa Ten, Sala & Betty, Kome) and some vintage shops.
Lots of cool places to eat, not a lot of traffic, and only about 10 minutes driving from campus, but feels far enough to really be able to separate school and home life!
Hyde Park is super frickin cute. Great for walking. Cute restaurants and close to North Loop. Only complaint is price/gentrification.
Close to everything you need. Its not too far from campus while still creating separation between school and home.
I love my neighborhood! It's safe and easy for free bus access to campus on the 7 bus line. Also, it's safe walking home late at night from campus, too. I just live on a noisy corner of it, which is my only complaint. We have great bars and corner stores and coffee shops; perfect for studying, walking, biking, etc.
I love North Loop! There are a bunch of cute coffee shops, restaurants, and bars. It isn't as lively as downtown and eastside, but has everything I needed!
Love it
