Wharton Student - Great Value

Most students live on the west side of the park, so my only (very mild) complaint is location.

Great building, variation across units

Building is well-maintained and updated. You walk through a beautiful hotel lobby every day. I don't have any major complaints. The experience with in-unit finishes/maintenance will vary based on the condo owner. Great building gym shared with the hotel, but there are not many more amenities aside from the gym.

Overall good stay

The pros are the lobby, gym, and overall look of the condos with hardwood floors, marble tiling and granite countertops. There were a lot of fire alarms that went off at random days/times especially since half of the building is a hotel and found that to be annoying. Residents can't use the official business lounge on the actual hotel floor and there isn't a common area besides the lobby. A little overpriced and you don't get as much bang for your buck as you would closer to Broad St. You pay for living right before Rittenhouse square, and nice furnishings in your condo like mentioned above.

Comfortable and Safe

The lower floors of this building are a hotel, and so the front doors and lobby are always staffed. The business center is open 24 hours and has free printing. The gym has all the basics, but the weights and machines are a bit old. There's no lounge for residents (no quiet place for meetings), but the hotel lobby has big tables and wifi. My junior one-bedroom is in fantastic condition and very comfortable to live in, despite only having 2 small windows.

Good deal if you're looking for clean and new

The price range is good if your priorities are a clean, relatively modern building. All units seem to have been renovated. The units tend to rent out pretty quickly. The gym is decent, but compared to other buildings in Center City that come with a gym, it is great for the price. Doormen are downstairs for both the residents and the hotel guests (separate doormen). If you get a lot of packages, this aspect is convenient. Maintenance requests are a hassle in my opinion- they are slow to respond from my experience. That is the only downside.

Lots of hotel perks that come with living in this building!

The services and amenities that come with this building are awesome. The building has 24 hour doorman because of the hotel, so it feels really safe. The Condos have its own elevator and receptionists who will receive and send out your packages. Residents can use the hotel's gym and business center for free. Also, residents get a special discount rate for hotel rooms, catering, and in-room spa services. There is a bar right in the hotel so when it gets cold and you don't want to leave, it is a great place to hangout with your friends. The location is also impeccable. Surrounded by bars, restaurants and shopping. Everything is opening around this area. Lastly, the rooms are clean, because you live high up you don't hear much of the street noise. During my 1.5years here so far, i've only experienced one fire alarm incident and it wasn't a false alarm either. There was actually a small fire in one of the rooms. I got the smallest studio in the building, which is why the rent is relatively low. With all the perks that come with living in this building, I think it is totally worth it.

Great apartments in a luxury building.

The Warwick condominiums are located on the top floors of the Radisson Blu hotel. The concierges/doormen are helpful, the gym is great as it is almost always empty. Our apartment has great light, very large bathrooms, a washer/dryer, and KitchenAid appliances. It's a quiet building, not many Wharton students. If you were so inclined, you can get room service from Tavern 17 or the Prime Rib. There's also a coffee shop in the lobby, in which we get a discount. Finally, there's a special resident rate at the hotel, in case you have people visiting in Philly.

A few small complaints, but I love the Warwick

I like the location and the concierge service of my building. The lobby is newly renovated and the gym is big with weights also. It is in a hotel so I feel really safe late at night. However, the washing machine in my unit is a washer/dryer combo and dries really slowly. Also, my kitchen sink is way too small. Other than that, my building and apartment are wonderful.

Rittenhouse Square Reviews

Walnut street is very safe - there's always people around and it's well lit. The neighborhood includes all of the fun aspects of living in Philadelphia - tons of access to food and bars, nearby grocery stores/markets, access to the parks and the Schuylkill River Trail
Very close to fun restaurants/bars/shops. Close to the subway as well as the train station (suburban station).
Rittenhouse is the safest part of Philly. It's a very "happening" part of town—lots of restaurants and bars on every street. At the same time, it's right next to more residential neighborhoods to walk around in and explore. It's a great place to live relatively close to the law school but with a degree of separation so as not to get trapped in the law school bubble.
The neighborhood is both quiet and lively. There is so much around, but I have never had an issue sleeping or studying because there is too much noise. The broad street line is a 10-15 minute walk away and we are close to shopping, food, the park, and the river trail. Has everything within a 10-15 walk.
This neighborhood has everything I need within walking distance. Shops, grocery stores, parks, the subway and trolley, post office. You name it. It's very safe and extremely quiet, which helps when I'm trying to study. The Rittenhouse Square area is really the best place to live in Philly if you don't mind paying a little more.
I love this neighborhood and knew I wanted to live here when beginning my apartment search. The park is one of my favorite places in the city, and I love being able to easily access all the restaurants and shopping nearby. It's also an easy (~20 minute) walk to Penn Law, and the walking commute has always been a nice and peaceful part of my day.

Spruce Street in particular is great - it's a little south of the square, so is quieter/shielded from a lot of the traffic that the neighborhood gets, but it's not out of the way or far away. There's a Starbucks, a grocery store (Rittenhouse Market), and a few corner stores (Four Seasons and Food & Friends) within a 2-3 minute walk of my apartment.
Love the neighborhood, Rittenhouse Square is beautiful and we are so close to the more commercial areas like Walnut Street while not being in the center of the craziness. Plus we are within walking distance of public transportation including 10 minutes from the 15/16 street PATCO station. I personally think it is one of the best areas of Philly to live in.
Rittenhouse Square has a park in the center surrounded by a bookstores, restaurants, and a public library. It is open to pets and often has open art / food markets on the weekends. It is close to the Broad Street Line and PATCO. There are many families who live in the area. It is affordable compared to other major cities (NYC, DC, Boston), but there are certainly more affordable areas in Philadelphia, simply without the luxury of being so close to Center City.
