Legends Review
The apartment rent has skyrocketed over the last year. Obviously, the complex held the rent rates from my first to second year living there due to COVID-19. However, upon renewing for the third year, the rate went up significantly.
The apartments are old. I would date from 12-15 years old. There are no lights or fans in the room. The appliances are old. Sometimes there are issues with how water usage is recorded.
Moreover, the surrounding neighborhoods/duplexes do not look too safe.
In sum, the rent we pay is the going rate, but it's gone up nearly $250 in less than three years. If I weren't getting ready to buy a house, I would move somewhere closer to downtown and be glad to pay higher rent for a nicer area.
