Fremont

Center of the Universe
Fremont is located right in the center of the city of Seattle, giving the town its nickname - “Center of the Universe”. The neighborhood’s roots date back to 1891, when it was home to early pioneers. More recently, in the 1960s, the area witnessed an influx of students and artists due to its low rent housing options. This development laid the foundation for the funky personality Fremont exudes today. Now Fremont is known as the neighborhood where many big tech companies run their base of operations, including Adobe, Getty Images, and Google. With its variety of living choices - condos, homes, townhomes - fantastic restaurants, neighborhood festivals, parades, flea markets and farmer’s stands, Fremont is an attractive place to live. The Fremont Troll is a famous art piece that resides underneath the George Washington Memorial Bridge. This is a famous tourist spot which acts as a staple for the city.

The neighborhood truly shines when examining its extensive options for food and drink. Restaurants include RockCreek Seafood & Spirits, SWeL Restaurant, Kamonegi, and Manolin. Spots that are great for bar-hopping with friends include Outlander Brewery and Pub, Add-A-Ball, The George & Dragon Pub, and The BackDoor. Fremont is a great place to live for people who want a dynamic, eclectic home - brimming with things to do.

Fremont — 7/10 Rating (based on 3 neighborhood reviews)
Fremont is a fantastic place to live. There are tons of restaurants and bars nearby. I also feel much safer living here than I did in the University District.
