Due to Lower Queen Anne’s large residential population, the town is also referred to as Uptown. There are many landmarks within the neighborhood that make it a highly sought-after place to live for families and young adults. The most well-known in town is the Space Needle. This Seattle icon is 605 feet tall and is always a welcome sight for Lower Queen Anne residents. There is both an observation deck and a classy restaurant atop the Space Needle. Bars for drinks on weekends include Sully’s, The Toledo, Streamline Tavern, Triumph Bar, and Art Marble 21. Lower Queen Anne has the heart of Seattle beating within it, which attracts many people to this part of the city.
