NoMo

NoMo, short for north Morrison, has become one of the hippest places to live within the city of Charleston. In recent times, many businesses, residents, and restaurant-owners have moved into this neighborhood, all with the goal to evolve it into a thriving environment. It has often been compared to Manhattan’s Soho, but NoMo is developing an entirely new persona separated from anything else. The neighborhood is also popular among College of Charleston students, as it offers upscale apartments suited for them. The commute to the College of Charleston is also only around 5-7 minutes, which makes NoMo a convenient spot to live.

With plenty of trendy restaurants and bars in the area, the residents of NoMo always have a variety of choices for where to eat/drink. At these local eateries, many college students will be found enjoying some grub or having a round of drinks. Restaurants in the area include Rutledge Cab Company, The Tattooed Moose, Butcher & Bee, The Royal American, and The Park Cafe. Bars that are great for drinks include Local 616, Charleston Rifle Club, and Faculty Lounge. NoMo is a great spot to live that acts as a social hub and hangout spot, perfect for College of Charleston students.
