A hidden gem in Durham

Very safe area, with an operational gated entry. The gate closes at 7pm every night, requiring a passcode/using an app on your phone to open. The apartment has an electronic lock, also opened by your phone or using a real key if you prefer that. The gym is very small, but gets the job done.

Any maintenance issue we have had is fixed within 24-hours, which is the best I have ever experienced. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. The leasing process was a bit drawn out and took a lot of back and forth with the leasing manager, but once everything was signed it went smoothly. The apartment is large and updated with modern appliances.

Our neighborhood is quiet, and super close to campus (a 5 minute drive) or a 10-15 minute walk to the Lancaster Commons shuttle to campus.

Convenient and Comfortable but hastily renovated

I enjoy the closeness to campus and the fact that it’s gated. I think I have a great size room and bathroom despite having a roommate. However, the onsite management gave us a hard time during the application process and the finishes were hastily updated so there are a lot of design flaws.

Affordable housing, decent amenities

Chandler is a decent complex. The rent is fairly cheap compared to Erwin-Laselle prices. The units are fairly nice with many of them being newly renovated. As well, the clubhouse was renovated in November 2021. The management is ok. They aren't the best about communication and can be slow (took us 3 months to get a TV the complex promised us on move-in), however, they are always quick with maintenance requests. Also noteworthy, Chandler is a complex with each building holding around 6-8 units. As a result, I have never heard my neighbors and the complex is incredibly quiet. There are some problems with ants (seems like a problem throughout Durham).

Not bad!

It's definitely an upgrade from my last apartment at Chapel Tower, and Knightvest Mgmt is currently stepping in to upgrade quite a few things (apartments, pool area, fitness center). It's not too expensive, I like the location (I bike 15 mins to campus, it's right by a Starbucks I use to study, there's a Target and Harris Teeter close by), and the office people are nice. The neighbors aren't noisy. It comes with an outdoor closet space where we keep our bikes and lawn games. My only complaint is the fitness center was supposed to be open when we moved in in early August, and it was delayed until early November. That shouldn't be an issue for future tenants, though!

Honestly pretty good

I cant complaint too much, rent might be a little much for what it is and the gym is thoroughly mediocre, but the management is responsive and the complex is relatively nice.

Parc experience

Apartment complex super nice, has a pool and nice club house. If you put in a maintenance request they come either that day or the next. Parking is free.

Friendly and comfortable apartment complex

The apartment is great with everything you need. The leasing office is very helpful and addresses the utility issues in a timely manner. The only downside about the community is its location if you don't own a car. Public transportation between the community and the University is insufficient and inconvenient.

The Parc at University Tower Review

Very nice leasing office manager. People always matter the most.
Safe and closed main entrance at night (access by code).

Not Bad

This is a good place to live, although the amenities are not so spectacular. Management answers quickly to maintenance requests.

Good apartment complex but lacks transportation connectivity

The apartment complex is very good, both the management and community. If you do not own a car, then biggest issue is the public transportation connectivity between Parc and Fuqua. There is no bus between 10am - 3pm, or 6pm - 6am. Also, there is no bus connectivity over the weekends. Additionally, this place is distant to all Fuqua activities
