The Point (prev. known as Envoy)

My husband and I have lived at this complex for 2.5 years now. We started out in a 1-bedroom then moved into a 2-bedroom. New management has cycled in twice since we've been here.

The location is close to many great things like the interstate, West Midtown, and MARTA stations. Being right next to the Dome, though, is a big inconvenience when shows or games are in town. (It took me 2 hours to get home the night New Direction was giving a concert in 2015.) For the most part, though, we feel close to everything.

We're right on the edge of Vine City, which has a high crime rate, and we've had many interactions with homeless men just outside our apartment complex. Inside the complex, there have been muggings, theft, and a murder since we started living here. The #1 reason why we'll be looking for a new place once our lease is up is because we want to live somewhere I can feel safe walking the dog outside. #2 reason is because many of the tenants do not clean up after themselves or their dogs in the hallways. There are few areas to take our dog to the bathroom, and the main outdoor area is near the large trash receptacles. These areas are always littered with broken glass and trash.

If you stay inside your own apartment, though, everything nice and clean and fine. Each unit will have windows and a small patio that overlooks either a beautiful courtyard or the street. The unit warms and cools quickly.

Management responds quickly to some things like replacing lightbulbs or fixing toilets, but I've told them multiple times about the cigarette marks left by previous tenants and rips in our carpet, and Management has delayed on these because they would require an all-day project or a 3rd party vendor to check the necessity of what I requested. It's been 15 months and these things were never checked up on.

For such a great location close to almost everything, you cannot beat this price, but beyond that, I can't recommend The Point in Atlanta.

The Point at westside

people have been killed here, and the water is like 200 a month for a 2 bedroom, but i can see that they are trying to make changes.i wish the water a month was a fixed amount like other properties in atlanta, but it isnt. Once, it reached about 270 for my 2 bedroom apartment. the location is great but that pretty much it.

Great option for Georgia State students. It seems like the building is inhabited mostly by GSU students any way. Great price for wood floors, in unit washer dryer, and updated kitchen. I wish the lighting was better in my apartment. I don't know what other apartments look like but my overhead lighting is a dim track light in the living room. The bedroom doesn't have any overhead lighting, which is quite inconvenient. Very close to GSU and MARTA (Five Points station and Garnett station). Also close to Edgewood bar strip.
Awesome place to live!! Amazing location, quiet yet in the middle of all the action! Roof top deck with great views of Atlanta and nice pools!

And its right on the famous Jackson St. Bridge!
I love living in downtown. It's close to all the other major neighborhoods by MARTA and is starting to have more walkability as far as shopping and restaurants go. The only con is the lack of easy parking, and the traffic during major sporting events, concerts, and conventions.
