Oak Hill Apartments

While it is up a hill from the law school. You get your own parking lot included in the rent, heat is included, water and garbage. People don't make too much noise and the walls are thick.

Oak hill is right up the hill from Barco, next to Tree’s pool. The community might seem questionable because they also allow section 8 so where you might be paying full price your neighbors have subsidized housing for a couple hundred. It’s safe. Sure plenty of folks hang around outside, teens are always out and about. The worst thing you have to worry about here is a ding dong ditch. No theft, cars broken into, etc. they have onsite security that’s always driving around, and they’re not lazy. Of the few domestic calls I’ve seen, cops bring a quick response and it’s usually a teenager/ young adult drama rather than violence. They have two pools, a gym, tennis court and basketball court. A/C! And a convenience store with a little restaurant on site by the office. So super walkable and great place to live, but you pay high for the privilege of living near barco.

The community is convenient and inclusive, however a little inaccessible without a car as there is only one bus that stops there. A bit expensive but lots of things are included.

The apartments are nice, a short walk to several hospitals and Pitt Medical, dental, and nursing schools. There is in unit laundry, a gym, free parking, pet friendly, and pools. However, the management company is not very responsive, the leasing office is not helpful, and it takes forever to get anything fixed. No grocery stores nearby either.

Oak Hill is very close to school and convenient. The building I live in is nearly brand new and very clean. There are nice amenities and lots of open green space. However, there are no elevators and many packages get stolen so it does not feel very safe or accessible.

Pretty close to Barco, fairly priced considering the rest of the rental options.

Reliable maintenance, good security, modern appliances, friendly neighbors, close to everything, allows pets, plenty of closet space, full gym and 2 pools and tennis courts

The apartment I live in is really nice. It has renovated appliances and is quite spacious. It comes with free parking and gym/yoga studio. I personally just don't like that it is quite isolated from the rest of Oakland/Pittsburgh.

Poor maintenance, but walkable to school (10-12 minutes). Neighborhood feel.
