Close to hospital and everything else

This apartment is about a 10 min drive from the hospital and about 10-15 min from all the major neighborhoods in Baltimore as well. There's a lot of good food options around and it's close to the light rail and train station. Depending on which apartment unit you are in, you may be facing the train tracks and light rail which you get used to very quickly and becomes background noise. Beautiful apartment with responsive maintenance staff.

Good place for young professionals

The Fitz is super conveniently located next to Penn Station and has easy access to the 83. It's excellent for dual-career young professional couples (I am one half of one of these). Amenities like concierge and in-house gym save you time, and commuting in two different directions is easy. There is even a pool (a bit overkill imo). There are common areas for socializing with regular "community" events. I have met some neighbors at these events, and even made friends with another couple. The only downsides are that the area is OK but not great for restaurants/bars, and that you pay for all the convenience and fancy amenities in terms of a rent premium. If you can afford it / are willing to pay for it, it's a great place to live. And, you could definitely do worse for the same amount of money in the immediate area (Fitz is a much newer building than most everything else around here). Oh, and if your apartment looks out toward the Light Rail station, you will get passing train noises through the night - we got used to it quickly and it no longer bothers us, but if you are a light sleeper, pick another side of the building.

Expensive, but overall worth the price

Great amenities, great management, good value. Close to light rail, Penn Station, and Bolt Bus stops.

Avoid the north side because of light rail and freight train noises. Some locations do not have good sun light. Some walls are thinner than others.

Gorgeous, but pricey

The Fitzgerald is a gorgeous building architecturally, situated in beautiful and active Mt Vernon. The amenities include concierge service, a pool (open roughly four months), a zen garden, multiple lounges, and a state of the art gym. There really is no downside to living in this mid-rise building, other than the pricing. The dollar per square ft, is quite high, and one would expect with the price you pay, to get a little more bang for your buck. It is recommended that when considering renting at this great building, do your homework prior to visiting. There are many "side deals" that individuals can negotiate, that will not be offered otherwise. If you are considering living on the train side - mention the noise. The proximity to the train station and light rail is extremely convenient, however as to be imagined the noise cannot be avoided. When mentioned there is often a discount provided for the noise that is not extended to everyone. Other than the pricing and the "side deals" management is effective. The complex is cleaned daily, and maintenance often provides same-day servicing. Its a wonderful environment for anyone interested in living in an active part of charm city.

Spacious, beautiful, perfect for working professional!

The Fitzgerald is a beautiful building with pool, gym, parking, and even a meditation garden. Inside amenities include a conference room (with Apple computers), movie theater, pool tables, and lounge. Mostly everyone is 25+, but again very friendly, and lots of community events in the building. The pool is super relaxing in the summertime. As I travel most of the time - the access to Amtrak and short commute to BWI is super convenient. I live alone and feel very safe coming in and out of the building during all hours of the night. Lots of students around during the day, great bars and restaurants in walking distance. Maintenance comes quickly to fix any issues you may have. Only issue is parking and rent is a bit pricey but very fair considering all you have access to in a beautiful, safe neighborhood! Highly recommend this property!

The Fitzgerald

This is an excellent place to live.
Pros: Management, amenities, social atmosphere, Gym is included and has a lot of equipment available to use. Has a pool open in summer. Has parking garage attached
Cons: Is a little expensive, but worth it. Parking is $110 a month per car. Electricity, utilities, cable, internet, etc is all extra.

Life at the Fitz

The Fitzgerald is a great building right near Station North in Baltimore. It's close to the light rail, plenty of bars and restaurants and Penn Station. Plus there is a new bar being built next to the Two Boots that will be a great place to hang out and grab a drink for residents. The staff at the building are very friendly and respond to all requests timely. We've made a lot of great friends in the building and would recommend to anyone.

Love the Fitz!

Amazing building! Very modern & chic decor; luxe trendy/eco feel and comfortable environment. Location is great and there is attached parking as well. The only complaint I have is that the pool is VERY cold!!! :( The experience, mgmt and neighbors are very pleasant. I highly recommend this building.

Excellent value for working professionals

My husband and I have lived in the building for 2 years and we love it. We were planning on moving somewhere else but decided to renew our lease with the Ftiz. We feel safe, has a great community feel, great amenities, and a very responsive staff. I work in DC so its a perfect 5 minute walk to Penn Station to catch the MARC/Amtrak. Highly recommend this place!
