Great Complex for Young Professionals
Foxchase is a fantastic choice for young professionals and students. The management is very easy to work with and the maintenance crew is fantastic—they're super responsive to requests and actually fix issues as soon as they crop up. The Van Dorn Street and King Street metro stations are each about a 10 minute drive away and the complex is a short drive from Old Town Alexandria. Highly recommend.

Great!
This place is great. I never have issues finding parking, maintenance is quick to fix any issues you have and it's a safe community. There are bus stops around the neighborhood that can take you to the metro if you commute as well. It's also a 5 minute walk to Foxchase shopping center, so it's very convenient to get food and groceries.

Foxchase Apt Rvw
I was in a pinch and needed a place to live and Foxchase was perfect for my budget. However there are hidden fees, like wifi is an added charge on top of the rent ($60). Parking is also a charge, otherwise you do have to fend for yourself with street parking, which sometimes isn’t available depending on when you get home, or if there’s construction happening. There’s no in unit laundry, and you do have to grovel with the 3rd laundry management (CSGO) to get them to come fix the machines which is not fun. However, it’s safe, you have access codes to get into the building you live in and into your respective apartment. The rent includes gym + pool. No issues with pests and they’re very good about prevention. I did have a mouse in my apartment once, and I lived on the ground floor.

General experience
Overall I have enjoyed living at Foxchase and plan to continue living there. I have had a couple of complaints but the maintenance crew has been very responsive. Parking can be a little tricky but generally you can always find a spot depending on how far you’re willing to walk.

Spacious
If you have a car and do not mind a 10-15 minute drive to campus, I highly recommend living in Alexandria. You get twice the space for $500-900 cheaper than in Arlington. Additionally, there are fewer extra expenses such as parking. My apartment in particular has large bedrooms with plenty of closet space for both myself and my roommate, as well as an office.

It's okay. It's getting kind of 'ghetto' though.
There's lots of bike trails, places to eat, handful of bus route stops, and close to two metro stations. But the crowd this place is attracting now is questionable. Police have been quite the regulars here.

Affordable and spacious, a few miles from Old Town
Foxchase is walking distance from a grocery store, some restaurants and a convenience store. It's located a few miles from Old Town Alexandria which make the location great and affordable compared to living right in Old Town. There are plenty of bus stops around and the apartment complex offers a shuttle to the King Street Metro station during the weekday in the morning and afternoons.
Maintenance always responds to requests quickly and the management staff is usually available when you need to speak to someone in person (hard to reach anyone by phone or email however).
The only complaint is that my cat has caught 2 mice in the apartment and my roommate and I are very clean and live on the 3rd floor. We called maintenance both times and they said that they put down some pest deterrent both times.
Overall it's not a luxury apartment, the building is a little old but it's an affordable place and accessible to the city. I would recommend this complex to someone.

Great place if your budgeting
My fiance and I moved here from San Diego. This place is alright. Management is getting better but half the time they seem lost. They only give you 36 hour notice if they are going to enter your apartment which sucks when you have a pet since it is a short time to tell work you cant come in since you have a pet. It is though the best bang for your buck but if you want to make friends where you live it will not happen here!!!

Old Town Reviews
- Safe, nearby grocery store, pet friendly, pool, close to restaurants, diverse in income types and styles of homes, etc.
Cons: Section 8 housing, a lot of people for a tiny pool.
