Not the Friendliest of Folks

People are not very friendly in this community- mostly young couples with small children and a lot of pet owners. Parking is a nightmare on the street! If you get home past 630pm on a weeknight, you will have to park really far away. The unit itself is nice and large, but still expensive. Most people in the complex seem to own.

West Village of Shirlington

Great to place to live with pets. Nice pool and ok gym. Units are large and mostly updated too. However, the location is not great because it's very industrial and not near a metro...closest restaurants and bars are 1 mile away. However, there are several shopping centers nearby to buy essentials.

Good place

Good place to live...very safe and affordable considering the size! Extremely pet-friendly community, but street parking is very difficult to find. Grounds are very well-kept and it's a quiet community. Running/biking trail right out front door. 15-20 walk to Shirlington, but not good for public transit.

Very Clean

Clean, new condo with ample storage and a large bathroom. Kitchen is very nice with updated appliances and granite counters. Neighbors are pretty quiet. Grounds are very clean and well-kept. The community is very pet-friendly. Parking is a definite challenge. Only 1 off-street spot is provided and on-street parking is very difficult to find in the evenings after 6pm.

Columbia Pike Reviews

Absolutely lovely place to live. Lots of food options in a highly diverse neighborhood.
Been built up a lot in the last few years with a Harris Teeter in walking distance. Lots of metro bus lines right outside the door with a shuttle to the metro
Quiet and residential. A little ways from any restaurants or grocery stores, but there's good bus transport and Capital Bikeshare nearby.
Nice and diverse neighborhood. Up and coming. Safe and convenient. Lots of options for food and drinks. Close proximity to DC and Tyson's Corner. Lots of new construction.
Lots of stuff nearby, including grocery store, coffee shops, movies, restaurants, fast food, diners. Convenient to walk to some of these places.
The neighborhood is very family friendly. I can walk, bike, or bus easily to the metro/Pentagon City mall or bus/bike to the law school. Walking distance to fair assortment of restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy, etc. on Columbia Pike. Neighborhood is dotted with parks, tennis courts, short bike path, and other recreation.
It is safe and has growing businesses, but sometimes can feel removed from university life and more blue-collar.
Safe and friendly neighborhood. On a busy street, so the neighborhood is mostly behind the complex. Even then, the suburb behind the complex is small before you hit another highway. Very easily accessible by car, not very much by metro. Also, that accessibility comes with the cost that things do not feel very walkable in most directions. Living here almost necessitates having a car.
