Great living space near UCLA

I spent a delightful 1.5 years at 10401 Wilshire, a place that combines comfort, security, and convenience. The management team was always quick to respond to any inquiries, enhancing my living experience. The doorman and valet were incredibly welcoming, making it feel like home. Its proximity to UCLA, just a 15-minute walk, was perfect for my needs. As a young woman, I particularly appreciated the 24-hour doorman service for added security. The spacious apartment unit was the cherry on top, making my time there truly enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a safe and convenient living space near UCLA.

Great place to live with friendly staff

I have lived at 10401 Wilshire for almost five years in two different units and have loved my experience here!

The staff are kind and always helpful. They help collect packages (& hold outgoing mail for making returns -- super convenient) and there's valet parking for you and your guests. Any maintenance requests I've had have been fixed the same day. Building management is friendly and always available to answer any questions you have.

I had a west facing unit and my apartment was drenched with sunlight! It was also surprisingly quiet for an apartment on Wilshire Blvd.

I would definitely recommend this building to anyone looking for a great Westwood location.

Good location but too expensive for quality of apartment

The biggest issue with this apartment is the cost. You're paying for the convenience of living in Westwood, which is within walking distance to campus, but I now drive 100% of the time. The front desk workers are very nice, and the management is friendly, but there are too many minor issues with the apartment that don't make the price tag worth it. Things like my AC missing a few parts (but it still works) and my window latch being broken tend to get frustrating. While these are minuscule, when you pay such a high rent every month, you feel those annoying issues much more. I lived here my first and second year, and I was recently notified that my rent would be increasing by $200 starting in February, so I will be paying $2800 for a studio which is too high. Overall, if the location is your only priority and you don't care about anything else, this place is an option (but not the only one). Some of the things I do like are that there are no pets, your packages get delivered to the front desk, so there is no fear of them being stolen, noise between apartments is never an issue, and when rushing to campus, even with traffic, it will only take you 10 minutes at most to get to campus. Otherwise, I would recommend being willing to venture out a little farther to find something cheaper.

Good apartment close to UCLA Law if you have a car

Great place! Can be a little bit loud with the intersection if your apartment is on that side of the building. But overall I really like it even though it is pretty expensive.

Besides the traffic, it is very quiet. I never hear anything from my neighbors.

But not very walkable so I would suggest this place only if you have a car.

Good Place but $$$

I enjoy my apartment. It is quiet, safe, and the management staff are mostly friendly and attentive. That being said, this location is extremely pricey for what you are getting and you are not near a grocery store, coffee shops, etc.

Management is fantastic - the whole building is clean, safe, and quiet.

It is expensive but everything (parking, gym, utilities) is included, minus internet. It is super safe and everyone is polite. You could walk to campus (less than a mile) but you can also drive. Sadly, pets are not allowed. :( if you live on a higher floor, the views are amazing (but more expensive, obviously).

Great place to live

10401 Wilshire can be pricey, but it's a quick 25 minute walk to school, the building's management is great, and it's extremely well kept up, secure, and friendly. I strongly recommend it to couples who are willing to pay for those conveniences.

Westwood is great. Can take the Bruin Bus to get to campus easily so no need to pay for parking on campus. Westwood village is an easy walk with many great shops and restaurants. Westwood park is around the corner which offers all kinds of outdoor activities. Really enjoy living in this quiet, safe neighborhood.
Great college area, a little depressed because of COVID, but has a lot of potential and feels very accessible. Close to other nice areas like Brentwood or Santa Monica
Expensive, quiet depending on how close you are to undergraduate apartment buildings and the medical center.
The walk to Westwood is kind of long, I usually drive.
Westwood is a great area for graduate and professional students who are not from LA. It is walkable (grocery, pharmacy, restaurants, etc.), which is nice. Campus is close by, and a bus service runs from Weyburn directly to campus.

There is a large amount of homeless activity in the area.

It is a very young neighborhood. A lot of undergrads in the streets.
I'm not a city person, so it feels like there's nothing to do. I don't like bars or clubs, and I can't afford to eat out. Movies are pretty expensive, too. I would love more green space to sit and get away from the noisy 405. But there is a grocery store nearby, and there are a fair number of restaurants and movie theaters. There should be plenty to do for city people. Westwood feels like your typical college town, and it's full of students.
Lots of dining and grocery options at all price points. Very happy to have Ralph's and Target within walking distance (along with upscale groceries if that's your thing). 30 min to LAX or Santa Monica by car (if traffic is cooperative). Easy access to the 405. Lots of Uber cars around to take you where you need to go. Some quiet neighborhoods around campus that are good for running.

Some homeless people but overall feels quite safe. Only problem is that (surprise) it's definitely not cheap to live here.
Westwood is full of UCLA students. Everyone is friendly and there is a shopping center within walking distance of the apartment. Our apartment building is also filled with a lot of nurses or retired couples which is nice. We also have many foreign exchange students living here.
