No frills but great location
This apartment has everything we need, but not much more. It's an easy 10-15 minute drive to campus, and also walkable to a lot of the bars the class ends up going to. The apartment itself is a spacious 1 bedroom, everything works and is very comfortable, only complaint would be we're on the first floor and so don't get much natural light (doesn't matter when you're on campus all day though). The neighborhood is very safe, our apartment building is surrounded by a lot of high-end homes and the streets aren't as densely packed as the part of Brentwood on the other side of Bundy.

Quiet Building in Great Location
Small apartment building (about 12 units) in nice neighborhood in Brentwood - one street past Bundy so surrounded by multi-million dollar homes and wide streets. Not as loud or crowded as many of the streets in Brentwood. Located right next to the Brentwood Farmers Marker on Sundays and walking distance to San Vincente and Wilshire. Spacious apartment, but feels a little old - bathroom could definitely use an upgrade. In-building coin laundry. Neighbors are nice and building have a quiet feel. Good price/value for the location. Easy access to UCLA and Santa Monica. Building owner is closeby and responsive.

A decent amount of homeless people but not at the Venice level.
- Close drive to UCLA campus w/ easy access to 405
- Can pick up #1 bus from Santa Monica and Sawtelle bus to UCLA
- Given the area, street parking is not too difficult to find
- Easy walk to Sawtelle for food
- Rent is reasonable given the area
- Small complex with only 12 units so there's not too much noise
- Management is very responsive
Cons:
- Non-master bedrooms are pretty small and one of them has a stand-up shower (not a bathtub)
- Appliances and apartment doesn't feel very "modern" (though everything works)
