Safe, Quiet, and Full of Greenery

Great management, quick maintenance, very quiet, surrounded by trees, nothing to complain about.

Very good, nothing crazy

The apartment has been good considering the cost. 15-20 minutes to campus depending on traffic, location is right off the highway. A lot of shopping areas nearby. Parking is unassigned, so sometimes can get difficult to find past midnight or might have to park in a spot far from your unit. Complex gym is very small, mainly dumbbells, a pulley machine, leg machine, and some cardio bikes and treadmills. Pool is shallow, not ideal for actual swimming. No pests in my unit thus far (4 months in). Virtual tour of units is available online. Usually can get a month off rent when signing lease, which reduces rent total. Amenities not included, and need to buy/rent your own washer and dryer.

Getting around Barton Hills

Barton Hills Reviews

5 reviews
-An exit away from downtown
-walking distance to the greenbelt and zilker park (major bonus around ACL, FUN FUN FUN, and Trail of Lights)
-a little bit trapped because of the highway in times of high traffic. You only have one way out and that means Mopac
-you have to drive a bit to get to a gas station that isn't in Collingwood/Bee Caves aka more expensive than normal gas stations
-there are always a lot of people walking dogs so I feel comfortable walking and running at most times
I love the Barton Creek neighborhood. There are plenty of restaurants right next to my apartment and 3 comic book/board game shops within a five minute drive. It's perfect for me!
The Woods apartments are right off Mopac and convenient to hop on the Greenbelt Trail and hike to Zilker Park and Barton Springs (1 mi). Taco Deli is on the corner too!
Great for being close to the Greenbelt and walkable to Zilker, however there is literally NOTHING to walk to in terms of grocery (just a small mart), restaurants (love having Tacodeli close but it closes mid-afternoon), bars, stores, etc. Makes me tempted to move downtown..
Close to a slew of restaurants (waking distance), grocery stores, the Barton Creek Mall and Brodie shopping areas, as well as easy highway access to 71, 35, Mopac, and 360.
