Rent controlled in Dupont

Great rent controlled apartment building in the heard of Dupont. Management is responsive and hands on when needed. The only recurring issue we have is package theft and a pesky 1st floor neighbor who has been in the building for 40+ years and constantly bugs the tenants about guests, air bnb renting and how to properly break down recycle boxes. If you can get over an elderly pest though, you can't beat the price and locatio.

A Manhattan Apartment in Dupont

I live in a simple but fabulous 650 square foot apartment with hardwood floors, high ceilings, and 10 windows. I have lived in the apartment for nearly 24 years, and I love it as much today as the day I moved into it. Even though I have to lug the a/c units out of the closets every summer, have no dishwasher or disposal, and have to do laundry in the basement (although I can do three loads at once), I can't image living anywhere else. The walkability rating of my address is a 95, and I've experienced the neighborhood mature as I have. It doesn't get much better than that!

Great neighborhood. Very walkable, even at night I always feel safe. Usually lots of people out and about. Young community, lots of bars and some awesome restaurants. Farmers markets and outside concerts in the warm months. Easy access to foggy bottom metro (15min walk) and dupont metro (5 min walk). Lots of green space (rock creek park). Georgetown 20 min walk with great shopping. 20 min walk to AdMo with great restaurants/bars
I love the neighborhood! Perfectly situated between Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom. Walking distance to campus, while still being separate enough to feel independent. Tons of restaurants, bars, and stores around. The neighborhood feels very safe but is quiet and residential, too.
Dupont Circle is a great area. I like that my block feels very residential, but I'm close to convenience stores, the Metro, and only a 15-20 minute walk to the law school. Sometimes I walk over to Georgetown, which is nice.
I have never felt unsafe walking home at night from campus. The area is mostly embassies and very fancy apartments and townhouses.
could not be happier. i love having a safe space away from the law school
West End is amazing! Such great restaurants and stores around!
Amazing food and restaurants all within walking distance
Hamilton House is located in the crossings of West End, Foggy Bottom, and DuPont. It is a very clean, classy area. Super incredible how you can walk down the street to old-town DC, walk down another street and its all clubs and bars of DuPont, walk the other direction and its GW, walk another direction and its DuPont circle and all the incredible food. This is an ideal location, especially being situated right in between Foggy Bottom / GW Metro stop and the DuPont Metro stop.
