Beltline Access

I've really enjoyed the central location to Virginia Highlands and Inman Park. I am walking distance to Ponce City Market, Krog Street Market, and a number of good restaurants and bars. I often end up meeting people at places like Lady Bird, Victory, etc. and am able to walk. I feel like the extra money I spend on the apt I get back in not having to pay for ubers and/or Lyfts. It is also a very easy 15 minute drive to class. The commute include the walk from Peavine takes about 25-30 mins even when there is a good amount of traffic.

Block Lofts

The bad: Management sucks, cars and apartments are broken into almost every other week. If something breaks well prepare yourself to wait 2 weeks, they make you sign with comcast conection sucks big time! cant wait for Google fiber!
If you choose to move into this place, make sure to follow up with the person you sign your lease with, as I did not do this. They didnt have my apartment ready when it was supposed to be ready for me to moved into. They sent us the wrong contract online they put another unit number. the whole experience was a messy one.

The good: the location that's all

Good

Never had problems with management. Maintenance always efficient and effective. Clean facilities. There's a private beltline entrance and a dog park surrounding the building, so it's a great place for recreation. Lots of good restaurants in walking distance too.

Beltline is a must

The location of Block Lofts cannot be beat, and we do have a pool and gym on site which is great. There is a dog park and everyone is really social out there. There's access to the Beltline, and we're a half mile from Inman Park, Krog Street Market, and Ponce City Market.

The issues are with property cleanliness, timeliness to respond to requests, and a site-wide flooding/leaking problem, due to old age and poor construction. My ground floor apartment flooded (sprinkler system) and 3rd floor apartment has rotted window casings so they leak badly, yet the office tells me they've done all they can. Also there are car break ins and apartment break ins fairly frequently. I would guess once a month.

That said, I've been here two years and I'm not moving. It's just too convenient and the other residents are fantastic.

Block lofts

Pricey, but location is great. Overall I've felt very safe. City view isn't really a great city view but it's better than staring at another building. Direct access to the beltline through the dog park is awesome. Very dog friendly. Valet trash great
