The Blu is Great
A great place to live 15 minutes from UNC campus.

New Apartments
Nothing great or terrible to say about Blu on Farrington. The management is fine, the amenities are fine. The worst part is having to drive everywhere, but the spacious apartment has been nice during Covid. Try to get a top-floor apartment if you can. Walls are thick but floors/ceilings are thin.

The best apartment complex around
I love living at Blu on Farrington. This is the best apartment around with the most up to date appliances. Most of the MBA students live here and I quickly made 30+ friends. I live in a one-bedroom apartment with tons of space. The amenities are wonderful- gym, pool, study room! The only problem is it's a 10-minute drive from campus, and if you want to go out on franklin street, you have to uber.

Alta Blu
Great community (20+ first year MBAs) are living here. Very nice amenities - pool, new everything in units, decent sized gym, free coffee, etc.

Brand new, great amenities, friendly staff, lots of other grad students
New complex, the mgmt keeps the grounds very clean, never worry about noise or trash, lots of grad students, 12 min drive into campus, about 25 other grad students from my program live here so it's really nice. Great modern amenities too!

Solid Value
While Alta Blu seems a bit far away from campus, the drive is never too long. The amenities are top-notch and the space in each apartment is great for the price!

Recommend Living at Alta Blu
Positive experience overall. I highly recommend that incoming students live there. The biggest thing is that it's brand new, so compared to the morgan and others, it's preferable. There is tons of space in the apartments, the pool is amazing, the lounge area is really nice, it's mostly grad students, and it's clean. The positives far outweigh the negatives, but I will list the negatives here as well:
-It's a bit far (about 10 minutes to get to McColl)
-They haven't figured out the package receiving process yet (I'm sure they will, as management is good).
-The walls are somewhat thin, but not terribly so
