Georgetown Manor

Georgetown is an older building, and the appliances (fridge, dishwasher, washer/dryer) are functional though not super up-to-date. The apartment itself is cozy, but with reasonable storage space (closet under the stairs, at the top of the stairs, and in each bedroom) - what you're really paying for is the location, which is awesome. Trinity Park is a lovely neighborhood, and it's walkable to East Campus, Whole Foods & Mad Hatter, Cocoa Cinnamon, and Durham Central Park/farmer's market. Lots of students, young people, and families live in the building. I haven't had any safety concerns so far, although I do think cars have been broken into in the Trinity Park neighborhood. Management is pretty responsive to maintenance requests, although I did have to ask twice about a specific repair. It's a locally-owned and operated company, so you're not dealing with a huge conglomerate based out of NYC, which is nice. No gym or pool.

Great Management

The apartment is great for the price. There are minimum amenities but the management company is the best of the three we have used in the area in the last 6 years. Couldnt recommend them more.

Great space for solid price

I am happy with our choice to live at Georgetown Manor. There is ample space, and the price is fair. I enjoy the location — it's a quick walk to a lot of dining/bars, and our unit backs up to a nature trail. The complex is also well maintained, and each unit features a nice small outdoor space. Even though these are townhomes and we share walls with two neighbors, we never hear them, which is nice.

Small cons: Not updated at all, but the appliances work fine, and I'm fine since the price is lower than luxury apartment complexes. Biggest con is that the unit could use more windows and natural light, particularly in the kitchen and bathrooms.

Great Management Company; Basic Amenities

The Georgetown Apartments are fantastic. The management company is a pleasure to work with and the apartment is great. The amenities are pretty basic but there is an in unit washer dryer and it is a quality apartment and reasonable priced

It is great!

The apartments are great. They are old but in good shape. Management is very responsive. The apartments are close to East Campus (which is good for commuting without a car) and close to downtown and coffee shops.
