Bad management last year, not sure this year

We have very bad management since the pandemic, especially last year. The guy kept in bring trouble to residents, such ad tolling our cars, tolling visitors’ cars, punishing residents with big fines, intimidating people with rude languages, delaying maintenance or deleting our requests. More worse, his supervisor supported him absolutely which made our living with no insecurity . I am sure we can find dozens of evidences from our Legal service. I am not sure if our management will be better this year as I know he left in the end of 2021.

I wouldn't live anywhere else while at KU

This apartment is affordable for two roommates while being quite spacious. The bedrooms are really big, and the bedroom with the half bath has a huge closet. I like that the building is older and made of brick - I have never heard my neighbors while living here for 3 years. I live on the top floor, which I think has the best rooms. I have heard from people who live on lower levels that you can hear upstairs neighbors if they are running/partying. But, again, I live on the top floor.

The basement levels are nice because you have a patio (my friend had a basement apartment) but the walls are stone which makes it hard to decorate.

I really love that it is in walking distance to KU. I can be from my apartment to Wescoe in 15 minutes if I walk fast. This is the biggest factor for me in choosing a place.

My balcony gets a lot of sun and I love having lots of plant on it.

Management is terrible. I have had 5 different office managers in 3 years. They do not respond well and are often overwhelmed. But I never really needed to interact with them. I put in my maintenance orders online and never go to the office. Its definitely a negative of the place, but an easily avoidable one.

It is not perfect, but I love it here. Would recommend.

West hills

Its not bad, it stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It's also in a safe part of town and a 10 minute walk from campus.
