Jardine Apartments

It’s okay. But requires frequent maintenance. The air conditioning is not great.

My apartment is a spacious one with a common room, two bedrooms and one bathroom. I specifically like the gas oven system which helps in cooking. The freezer is not so big to contain materials for two persons. The closets are large enough but the shelves are so high that it is difficult to access them. But it is in a walkable distance from my department so attending classes is easy.

I am living on campus and the neighbourhood I live in is very peaceful. You won't even realise that there's someone living beside you except the weekend nights. Even though people mostly keep to themselves, if you ask for any help from them they will be more than ready to help you out. The maintenance service is very fast and efficient. There is one downside to living on campus if you smoke because it is a smoke-free campus and smoking in your apartment can get you in trouble. Apart from that, it is a great community environment.

The only thing I wish could change in Renovated Jardine Apartments, is the heating/cooling system. I wish it had been a central heating/cooling where one could adjust the temperature as they like.

It gets very warm = hot during winters and extremely hot during summer as the cold from the attached a/c barely makes it into the bedroom.

The rent is good for a 2 bed room.
Have a tub in the bath.

Before COVID hit, a team used to visit almost every Thursday’s to ensure that they are no pest infestations

Overall I’ve had a great experience living in the Jardine community. As an International on a budget, this is a very cost effective option. The staff are very helpful and quick to help you find roommates if you need to.

As an international student, I found Jardine to be a safe and great place to stay. Management is very responsive in solving any issues.
