Hoover and Greene Studio Apt.

Living here has been the best experience I have had renting, no matter what city living in. It is expensive, but you are definitely paying for what you get. Always clean, neighbors have never been a problem, walking distance to the law school/bus stops, very nice gym and pool that never gets too busy, community areas/study rooms are available, and the leasing office is always willing to solve any problem you have. This is also my first time, as a woman, living alone. I have never felt unsafe as the building is equipped with cameras, and multiple locks to get to any rooms.

Hoover + Greene

Overall, I've really enjoyed living at Hoover + Greene!

Pros: The building opened three years ago, so all of the amenities and apartment units are modern. The property manager is excellent, and any maintenance issues I've had have been resolved quickly. Most residents in the building are graduate students or young professionals in their late 20s or early 30s, so it's generally pretty quiet. I'm able to walk to campus within 10 minutes and it's just steps away from the Big House. Parking is an extra $200/month but it is assigned and in a heated garage with electric car chargers. Even the studios have two walk-in closets and plenty of storage. It's a very secure building and I've never felt unsafe.

Cons: The rent is very expensive and does not include utilities or cable. The leasing process requires you to get on a waitlist, and you'll likely have to have a guarantor sign your lease. The building is so close to the Big House that game days can be pretty wild -- the property manager does a great job of keeping the building pretty quiet, but the streets surrounding the building are shut down for a few hours and traffic is crazy.

For me, the pros outweigh the cons and I've loved living here.

Overly priced convenience

Overall, I have had a positive experience living at Hoover and Greene. While it is expensive, the location is great. The unit is really quiet, even on game days, and I am just a 12 minute walk to school. The major downside is the price. It isn't crazy coming from a big city, but it feels expensive for what it is.

Very nice, great location, expensive

Apartment itself is great - location is perfect for Business School students. Average resident appears to be grad school age. Management at the apartment isn't great but that's to be expected all over Ann Arbor.

Nice Apartment, Still Working Out Some Kinks

I really like a lot of things about Hoover and Greene. The building is new, the floor plans are spacious, the amenities are nice. The management is also nice, but I would say they're not always consistent when responding to issues. For example, my shower pressure was not working and it took almost a month of people trying to fix it to officially get it fixed.
