Unit is rent controlled and Santa Monica has good renter protections. Management company is pretty responsive to maintenance requests. However, there has been a repeated mold issue in the closet that the maintenance company has mitigated but then it reappeared bc they did not address root causes. There was 6 months of construction noise retrofitting the car port. Only allows cats and requires deposit for each cat.

Good management, mediocre unit
The apartment building is fairly nice but the unit doesn’t have much light and small square footage. The property manager is competent if a little curt. We had a big issue with mold in our closet that got on all our clothes and we had to vacate the unit for 2 weeks. It was terrible but with some pushing the management company took it very seriously and had a professional mold remediation company come and tear out the walls and spray chemicals and they put us up in the unit next door. They have been fairly responsive to other maintenance requests and the appliances are in good condition etc.
