Decent place if you don't have a car

The main reason I chose this apartment complex was because of its proximity to a Kroger, and the bus 77 route (15-minute walk away) which takes me to campus.

Some other pros are that all units have a washer/dryer (albeit a small one), there's a pool in the complex, and the maintenance crew is generally responsive and fantastic.

It definitely is on the pricier side though, especially compared to some of the units you can find near/on 21st avenue.

Gale Lofts

Very good complex, staff is very helpful and friendly, pet friendly, only 2 windows so not much sunlight but it is spacious and has everything you need including washer/dryer, fridge, oven, stove, and a big bedroom closet.

Good location

This apartment is in a good location, within walking distance to the bars and restaurants of Melrose and a short drive to 12 South. The building is well-kept, and mostly quiet. New appliances, and modern finishes give the apartment a good feel. It is pricey, but more reasonable than other similar apartment buildings in the area. The only small complaints I have are that there is not a lot of storage space in the apartment and gym facilities are small with limited equipment.

Very close to downtown, midtown, and located on 8th street where there is lots to do. Close to parks and school that makes the commute easy.

Pros: Walking distance to bars and restaurants in Melrose and short drive to 12 South. Safe area, I feel comfortable running just after dark. Kroger is just up the street.
