2401 Pennsylvania Review

I really enjoy living here. The building only has about 40 units and it's mostly older adults who live there. It is very quiet, public spaces are clean, the appliances are great, the building has its own maintenance staff, the management is very responsive to emails, and there's a 24 hour concierge. The rooftop is very spacious and there are grills, tons of seating, and games like ping pong and foosball. There is no pool or gym, but they recently added some mobile gym equipment on the rooftop. There is great access to GW's campus, the metro, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Georgetown, and a dog park. It's a great place to live!

Professional In DC

I love 2401 Penn! The management is amazing and it is overall a beautiful apartment building. All the neighbors get along very well, it is almost like a family community. There is an amazing rooftop view with wonderful deck chairs and furniture. It is a great place to eat a meal or lounge during the summer. The location is also excellent. 2401 Penn is ideally located several blocks away from Foggy Bottom Metro and less than a block from Georgetown. I love living here!

Excellent Place to Live

I have truly enjoyed my time at 2401 Penn. The management is excellent and all the residents are very friendly with one another. Overall, a great atmosphere. The building is located perfectly between the Foggy Bottom Metro and Georgetown. It is also less than a block away from Trader Joe's. Amazing rooftop with a view for relaxing in the summer time. Very open living area. I overall love my experience.

Luxury Apartments with a great location

The space is very friendly and luxurious, and the building itself is in a great spot. The building features a roof that overlooks Georgetown's M St, and has a view of the Washington Monument. The high ceilings, crown molding, and marble-floored lobby leave an elegant impression on all the residents. Staff and doormen, along with the proximity to the metro, make this apartment worth it.

West End Reviews

West End is fine. It's safe, there's easy access to transportation and plenty of supermarkets. But it's boring as anything - a neighborhood of hotels and office buildings. It's also overly pricey without really giving you much in return. As someone who had to move to DC on short notice - I picked West End based on location and little else - and I mostly came out of my time living here wishing I had done more research before signing my lease.
Safe neighborhood, great transportation hub with multiple bus stops less than a minute's walk from the apartment and a 5 minute walk to the metro. Some restaurants and bars nearby as well. Ten minute (at most!) walk to GW campus! My only gripe is that it's an expensive neighborhood but the apartment is competitively priced for the area.
The neighborhood is perfect. Ten minute walk to school, five minute walk to the metro. CVS and Walgreens just ten minutes away, trader joes just 3 minutes away, Whole Foods ten minutes away. There is a bus stop with a bunch of bus routes directly in front of the building. This neighborhood is also close to a bunch of other great neighborhoods, just a 20 minute walk to DuPont Circle and Georgetown where there are restaurants, bars, and stores. The monuments (the Lincoln) are only a 25 minute walk down 23rd street. There are numerous gyms nearby and the school gym is only a ten minute walk from the apartment. The area is probably the safest in the city and there is not a lot of noise over the normal city noise. It is next to the GW Hospital so ambulances going by can be annoying but not overly so. This neighborhood is great and close to every amenity.
I like the west end library and the l Trader Joe’s but other than that it is a little quiet and mostly filled with hotels. There aren’t very many food options either. It’s a close walk to Georgetown which is nice.
This neighborhood has everything a millennial needs - a CVS, Soulcycle, Sweetgreen, and great bars/restaurants. Highly recommend because it's quiet and really close to DuPont Circle and the GW Metro.
ONE BLOCK FROM TRADER JOES!! 5 min to Georgetown, 10 min to Dupont, 8 minute bike ride to campus. Bars & restaurants. Across the street from the dog park.
Hard to beat the Foggy Bottom area. Safe and close to everything you would need to be productive and have a great med school experience.
Some of the neighbors are great. It gets pretty dead very early here. There have been a few instances of intruders in the building.
