Beautiful Building

I really like living at Capitol Yards. It's extremely convenient for me to get to and from work (the metro is only a short walk away), and the neighborhood is very up-and-coming, and many businesses and restaurants are expanding down this way towards the Waterfront. The management company is extremely responsive to requests--however small. They are timely and friendly and a big reason why I am happy in this apartment complex. Would recommend to prospective renters.

Love the rooftop pool

100 Capitol Yards has been a great place to live. The amenities are great and the staff is friendly and the prices are actually affordable because the neighborhood is still developing. The location has actually been perfect for me and its very close to the Navy Yard Metro stop.

100 I St SE

Great building for young professionals. Can see fireworks on July 4th from the rooftop pool area. Cozy apartments with lots of light from floor to ceiling windows. Up and coming neighborhood with lots of new restaurants. Walking distance to Nationals Ballpark.

Paying Way too Much for Sub-par Amenities

The apartment has its ups and downs. Our gym could be a lot better and bigger. And our pool roof is quite smaller than the other buildings, neighborhoods that I've seen. There's a giant AC farm on our roof and it's a definite eye sore. The club room is decent, but I feel like I'm paying wayy too much for a building that's outdated and out shined by it's neighbors.... Upgrades anyone?

Nice place to live

Great value for the location. Management as a whole is pretty good, but there has been a lot of turnover with the staff which has caused a lot of inconsistency.

Great location with excellent views

I've enjoyed living at Capitol Yards. The staff has always been very friendly, the surrounding neighborhood is a really fun place to live, and there are a lot of fun social events over the course of the year.

Great building poor management

The building itself has good amenities, but management leaves much to be desired. They treat you like they are doing you a favor every time you renew or ask for something, like a repair. Only when you threaten to move out at the end of your lease do they realize that they are a business providing a service and that there are other apartments with different management and similar rent everywhere. The management office needs to realize that an ice cream social in the lobby doesn't beat day to day good customer service. Additionally, the fees for everything are a bit over the top. $500 to change a room mate at lease renewal, insane. If they called it an amenities fee every time I would be okay, but I just feel like it's one more way they can get more money. Valet trash is an amenity used by few that you can't opt out of. They didn't survey the building before signing everyone up and charging a mandatory $25. Useless.

Great place to live

We love living at the 100--staff is friendly and helpful. Maintenance is prompt and very kind. We have kids and there are other kiddos in the building and many in the neighborhood. It is a fun and convenient place to live. The metro is easily accessible and new restaurants are coming to the area every month. The nats stadium is only a few blocks away.

Great location, great apartment!

Capitol Yards has proven to be a wonderful apartment complex. As a 20-something, the building is full of social opportunites and most residents are Hill staffers, which is nice for networking by the pool. Close walk to the Hill and Metro.

Capitol Hill Riverfront Reviews

I love this area! We're close to metros, grocery stores, and great local businesses. It's a very close walk to parks and the Anacostia waterfront. It can feel removed from the law school, which I enjoy, though if you're new to the area it can be more challenging.
I love the Riverfront so much. There are bars and restaurants, a great grocery store, plenty of events and things to do, and there's something new being built every day. The metro is accessible within a few blocks of most apartments as there are two entrances, and the population is full of pet-loving young professionals. Did I mention the Nationals stadium is in the middle of it all? I can't wait to see what my hood looks like in 5 years.
The neighborhood is largely under construction but in ten years or so it will be awesome. In the meantime, there are a lot of great restaurants, the waterfront, and the baseball stadium.
The areas is constantly changing with new restaurants and bars. During the summer the the Yards Park is one of the most beautiful and popular parks int he city!
Looking forward to more grocery stores and shops opening, but I like the quiet of the neighborhood. Easy walk to the water and the Capitol.
I love walking around this neighborhood because it is rather quiet and residential. There are many parks nearby.
The neighborhood has been fantastic. Tons of construction of new restaurants and retail. Great to explore.
This is an up-and-coming area of DC as I understand it. Most of the things around here are new. It's a little expensive, but most of DC is that way as well. A lot of the people who live here seem to be young professionals. There's lots of parks for dogs. It's a pretty area with plenty to do and it's quieter than other parts of DC I've visited. Not quite as cute as some other areas, but that's ok. It has its own thing going on.
