just love it

While I was touring in Rittenhouse square I visited 3 properties all of them were rude and did not allow me to tour without an appointment… I passed the drake and the charm got to me I walked in and the nice lady who was on her lunch break took me on a tour and spent a nice amount of time I felt instantly at home the bright airy units ans beautiful hardwood floors I LOVE IT HERE AT THE DRAKE !

i lived here for 2 years last management was awful didn't care at all the new management is amazing and caring the Staff is warm and friendly you can chat with them and they are not hiding behind closed doors the maintenance is quick and responsive when you have a issue they make it feel as its not a issue and simply take care of it quickly! the rent has gone up BUT ITS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!

The Building is one of a kind it is amazing to live here the vibe is really high end, the new owners and management are on top of there game and provide amazing service

Very nice location and beautiful building to live in its clean and staff is very nice ! had a great party for the residents on new years and i really enjoyed 5 out of 5 stars for the Drake !

Location is great

My 1 bed 1 bath is large, quiet, and very close to Rittenhouse. It is spacious and the common library is beautiful. The management, however, is completely unresponsive.

Incompetent and rude management! Avoid at all costs. The building is completely run-down. Today, half of the washing machines weren’t working! At least one out of the four elevators is out of order every day—sometimes two. Plumbing issues. Constant water shut-offs. The water takes half an hour to get warm enough for a shower! I’m paying an extra $200 per month as a flat fee for heating. However, the heating doesn’t work half the time. Walls are so thin I can hear the neighbors talk (and etc.).

I have lived at the Drake 8 years Fall 2016 - Summer 2025. . My apartment on the upper floors is very overheated in the winter due to steam heat. I had my radiators off and no thermostat, and the apartment was 85 degrees all winter so I had my windows open. At first the rents were reasonable and heat was included in the rent until last Summer 2024 when a steam fee was added . For my 950 sq. ft 2 bedroom that resulted in steam fees of $200 -$220 per month for Nov. 2024 - April 2025.- - Over $1200 for steam added to my rent. No way to reduce the heating costs. In addition I had a steam leak in my kitchen, and a plumbing leak into my bathroom from upstairs. Several times a month the water is off or the heat is off while leaks are repaired. The renovation is 20 years old and deferred maintenance is taking its toll. A great location with some lovely 2 bedroom apartments, but the Drake has incompetent management and big maintenance problems .

This place sucked. It looks nice and full of character when you tour it, but the maintenance staff was slow to respond to issues. I had an inoperable oven for months and my dishwasher broke and they kept putting the pieces back together, failing to see that one piece was broken and every time the dishwasher ran all of the pieces came apart again. 10 CMSRU students from my class lived there in our M1 year, and we all moved out after our 1 year lease finished. There was a leak that affected my apartment and they refused to take down drywall to check moisture in the insulation, and left me with industrial fans running 24/7 for a week with no solution or other place to stay. There are 4 elevators for a 25ish floor building and at least one elevator was not running most of the time. There were also problematic long-term tenants that caused disruptions for the rest of the building. My apartment had mice and several of my classmates had cockroach problems while we lived there. I also saw cockroaches on the lobby floor.
