Review
It was solid. We are moving because it's a little cramped but perfect for first years. Close to PATCO

Would not recommend
The building is very run down; service requests for broken appliances take weeks to be resolved; front desk staff is frequently unfriendly; fire alarms go off multiple times a week; the building does not provide adequate notice before entering the unit; on the upside, the location is great and rent is relatively cheap.

Safe location but old building
The apartment is in a great location, and I have two roommates so having our own bathrooms for reasonable rent is great. The building is quite old, so we have occasional maintenance issues which can take a while to get resolved.

Review of The Drake
It's a prime location with generally affordable rent, however, the new management has made maintenance issues harder to deal with.

Renting at the Drake
I have rented at the Drake for a little over a year now. I agree with previous reviews that the rent is relatively cheap given that we have front door staff. You cannot beat the location, and the apartment is old but relatively well maintained.

Charming building showing its age
The Drake is a historic building and is charming with great decor, common areas, classic design. However, it is a very old building and this shows in some of the amenities, namely the gym, the plumbing, water, elevators, etc.

Rittenhouse Square Reviews
Spruce Street in particular is great - it's a little south of the square, so is quieter/shielded from a lot of the traffic that the neighborhood gets, but it's not out of the way or far away. There's a Starbucks, a grocery store (Rittenhouse Market), and a few corner stores (Four Seasons and Food & Friends) within a 2-3 minute walk of my apartment.
