Luxury living downtown

I really like my apartment as it is the perfect location for me. Close to three different bus stops heading to campus, and close access to anywhere you'd want to go via the bus. I currently do not have a car and living downtown it has not been a problem for me. My unit is on the expensive side but it is 945 sq ft. I can walk to 6th street within 5-7 mins, and rainey in about 10-15 mins. I often walk home from campus and it takes about 30 mins. The amenities are amazing, but the downside is that they've started limited the amount of guests you can have on the 8th floor (where the amenities are)

Luxury Living in Austin

I have to say, if you want luxury, this is the place to be. This place has on-site 24/7 concierge, a nice business center, infinity pool, and excellent gym. There's also a great community room if you want to hold events/parties and staff are always helpful. Location wise, this is the place to be. Great views, lots of food establishments that are walkable and excellent views.

Downtown Austin is where all of your friends that live elsewhere come Thursday-Saturday nights. Depending on where you are in downtown, you are never more than a few blocks away from great food or nightlife options, and there is always plenty going on. Plus, you have tons of public transport options, easy access to Lady Bird Lake and the trail system, and the new library is a great spot to study.
If you can afford it, Downtown Austin is the location to be. Love the easy access to great grocery stores as well as the Town Lake running trail. You'll also be close to the all the bars and night life where Think and Drinks take place
So close to west 6th street for a more vibrant scene.
Very close to two super markets in Trader Joes and Whole Foods. Solid restuarants in walking distance and being close to the river is amazing.
Downtown Austin is very much alive, so be prepared to deal with traffic jams and noise, but I guess if you're looking to live in this area this information shouldn't come as a surprise.
Very close to Rowling Hall and the rest of the UT campus. While West Campus accommodates most of the undergrads, this particular area has more graduate students.
Though considered Downtown, it is closer to the university and west campus than the restaurant and bar scene of 6th street.
Love being downtown. Close to bars, restaurants and coffee shops. Super easy commute to any part of Austin
Rainey is a TON of fun on the weekends. The bar scene is great and it's a very young crowd looking to have fun. Keep in mind you're living in a "party" neighborhood, which can be both good and bad. The real downside is the lack of food options. It's only a 20 minute walk to work and is right next to Lady Bird Lake and the Ann Butler walking trail. I also feel pretty safe there.
