Living at the Garfield in Chevy Chase DC
I have lived at the Garfield for 5+ years, first in a 2 BR/2 bath apartment and now in a 1 BR. I rent from an owner since this is a condo building.
It's homey and a well-serviced building. The staff is great.
Each apartment will be different depending on how recently the unit has been renovated.

At least there were no bugs
PRO: Lived there for 1.5 years. Neighborhood is relatively safe for DC & it was pretty cheap for a 1BR while still being w/in walking distance to METRO.
CON: Landlord was awful, never fixed anything. Hallways looked and smelled like a retirement community.
