Never had any problems

No real issues, stuff a little old but still usable, maintenance is always generally pretty prompt, laundry on site. Main issue is that it's very expensive for what it is, and rent does not include utilities/parking. Additionally, no pets :(

ideal and safe location for a balanced college experience!

I have lived at Tower Plaza all four years that I have attended U of M! I live in a studio with one roommate and it was bought as a condo that my parents own. It is enough space for two and because of its size it is manageable for our busy lives. The management is mostly reliable just the communication is not always clear. The reason that this particular apartment is because there is a 24/7 security guard and I always feel safe because it is known who is coming in and out of the building. The location is ideal as it is located right by many restaurants and cafes, a five minute walk to the diag, and a three minute walk to the bus stop to go to North Campus.

Great Location & Cheap for Luxury

Location is fantastic. Right downtown. Plus it has some of the best views of Ann Arbor. Staff has been great, however there have been some challenges repairing appliances since it is a condominium and individual owners are sometimes unwilling to foot the bill to repair broken appliances.
It also doesn't have very many amenities which works well for me. It probably knocks off 20-30% of the premium when compared to other "luxury" rentals.

Great Location, Basic Amenities

Great location. Safe building. Units are spacious and available both furnished and unfurnished. Decoration and appliances vary by apartment unit. Some fixtures out of date but maintenance is responsive and fixes issues quickly.

Great location, janky common areas

Amazing location between Ross & Main St. I gut renovated my unit, as have many other owners and landlords. Tower Plaza is the tallest building in Ann Arbor & the views are spectacular.

Quiet apartment close to campus and everything else (near to Skeeps & Hopcat!)

The residences are a mix of students and families. the rooms are quiet and conducive for studying. There is also a 24 hour security desk at the lobby. the building is 10min walk from Ross, 2min walk from Skeeps, Hopcat, 3min from Starbucks and Walgreens, 5min from Blake and everything else. The building is old, but maintenance service is excellent.

Good spot

Great location, solid management team, and option to lease furnished or unfurnished apartments. Nice to have 24 hr front desk and not as expensive as some of the newer buildings.

About Old Fourth Ward

Old Fourth Ward was one of the first residential areas in Ann Arbor. While keeping its old-town feel, the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood is now also a modern spot that many students call home. For bars, there is the Italian styled Mani Osteria and Bar. Another place to visit is Bar Louie, an upbeat b...

I love this area. It's also called Kerrytown - Old 4th Ward is just more specific to my block I guess? It's a quiet residential area. I live right across from city hall and down the street from the fire department so I feel very safe. I've never heard a party! It's just a short walk from the Kerrytown market and some great restaurants by it. Also a quick walk from downtown where all the good nightlife is in my opinion as well as state street where there is a CVS and Walgreens. I'm also 2 blocks from a 7-11.
Kerrytown is a traditional neighborhood full of family houses, little markets and close to the night scene. Bars and restaurants are less than a 5 minute walk and Kerrytown farmers market is famous for its fresh products.
Love living around this location. Close to restaurants, groceries, school etc. Right near the main road leading out of AA. It is expensive though to live here.
<10min to all the downtown bars/main street

1 min to skeeps

<10min walk to Ross and University Street.

15 min from the football stadium/bus
Relatively quiet street but quick walk to Kerrytown, Farmer's Market, med school/hospital, downtown
Downtown is great. Easy to get to everywhere I want to be.
Close to school, hospital, and downtown. Very safe
Absolutely love Kerrytown!! Still close to the hospital but you get the added benefit over White Coat of being close to cute kerrytown shops and farmer's market as well as having a shorter walk to general downtown Ann Arbor. I definitely will be staying in Kerrytown all 4 years of medical school!
