Amazing value and location, no frills

This is the cheapest apartment you can find in this area. There are no amenities and there is no washer or dryer within unit. My fiancé and I were on a budget and did not want to compromise on location, and this place is amazing in that sense. They remodeled the apartments around 2015 and have new appliances and management has been responsive enough. I bike to UT almost every day and have bus access within a 5 minute walk to school. This place is worth a visit!

We are very clean people, but did have a mouse problem. Management helped us out and it is no longer an issue.

Great location but very dark apartment.

The location for these apartments is great. Its walking distance to everywhere, downtown, Zilker, Food trucks, Bike trails and much more. The apartment is spacious for a 1 bedroom but it is extremely plain on the inside and is hard to give it the home feeling. There is no sunlight at all coming in the livingroom and kitchen, A bit of light in the bedroom in the morning. Management are friendly and generaly are quick to respond to problems. Its a very annoying system to pay rent and if you're not on time then fines are very high.

Paying for location not amenites

Price is a bit to high for what you get even with the high prices in austin, but you are basically paying for the location so close to everything....which makes paying rent not so bad. The grounds need a major overhaul instead of constant bandaids to repair things. I have never had an issue with management and have only had on maintenance issue in 2 years of living there. Overall pretty happy living here!

The Willows

I have never had any issues living in this apartment complex, quite honestly I am pretty content here. It certainly is nothing lavish but it is so close to down town, that you cant beat the location for the price you pay. While i still think this place is over priced based on what the complex can offer you, you are really just paying for the location, which for me at my current point in life is fine. I've heard some complaints about management, but I am nice to management and in turn they are nice to me.

Willows Living

The Willows Apartments has an unbeatable location for the price, however, it leaves much to be desired. The management means well but is flighty and repairs are shoddy. You often need to report your problem multiple times. They are not proactive to problems but reactive. Little laundry space in the back lot - 2 washers/driers for about 30 units. Property is okay but could use attention. Mailboxes are broken and don't close. Property maintenance insists on leaf blowing at 8am, much to the disdain of the residents.

You Pay For Location

The apartment is not great - it's an old building with a recent rodent infestation. Waterbugs are a BAD problem living right next to the creek. On-site washing machines do a poor job at cleaning clothes. Walls are thin and you can hear neighbors, events, and fast food orders from inside the units. Management is friendly, but inattentive and slow to respond. The reason the price is so high is because of the location to Zilker and downtown. I walk everywhere.

The Catherine sits at the heart of everything. I'm a big fan of the Lady Bird Trail, so I love that I can access that so effortlessly. We are just across the bridge from downtown and South Congress. The only downside is that we're just far enough that you may want to drive or scoot when it's really hot outside. It also averages me about 15 mins to drive and park at McCombs.
Downtown Austin is a great place to live to maximize a short commute and proximity to restaurants, bars, parks, and the lake. The prices are significantly higher in the downtown area, but it is definitely worth it to be close to all of the action.
Wish I was a little closer to downtown but really like the incredible views
Bouldin Neighborhood is a luxurious neighborhood that is pretty close to downtown area and to UT campus. Enjoy the views to the river without paying expensive amounts of rent. It is a safe and calm area surrounded by many restaurants and coffee shops.
Love being close to downtown and South Congress. We are convenient to everything we love to do in Austin. I can walk to Town Lake for a walk or run and Auditorium Shores is very close too.
Bouldin is a great neighborhood given that it is very close to Downtown Austin and to UT campus within a 10 min drive. It is quiet and there are many nearby grocery stores. Most importantly is the direct access to the river trails, making it a great neighborhood for outdoor activities. It is also a safe neighborhood.
Bouldin neighborhood is a modern and luxurious one. It is quiet and pretty close to different attraction in Austin such as downtown and Barton springs. It is also close to UT campus with a 10 min drive and different groceries nearby. It is also a safe neighborhood.
Fun neighborhood with lots to do around
